Thanks for watching! It was definitely less stressful to know we were going to be sleeping in something that would be harder than a tent for a bear to break into! 😆

Hiking in Alaska is such a bucket list experience! What a great group photo at the trailhead. @ 5:07 Wonderful shot of the falls from up above💦Enjoyable scenery throughout your creation, loved how you highlighted the flora and fauna along the way🦋Great scene of the horses drinking from the stream🐎Such a fun group canoe ride on the lake 🛶Appreciate seeing the different landscapes on your trek even during the rain. LOL at "little hill above Swan Lake". Quite a bit of bushwhacking on the overgrown trail, we're used to that. Yay for wild blueberries, you and your crew definitely earned them! Wow @ 16:38 the combination of the different shades of green are stunning💚The moss you touched was like a fluffy pillow. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this epic adventure✌🏽 L4, 32:13

Thank you so much for watching and leaving a great comment! I'm glad you enjoyed this. It was definitely an amazing experience and the scenery in Alaska really fills the heart and soul. That moss was unreal feeling. It looked soft, but I had no idea just how soft and deep it was until I went with my impulse to touch it. I'm glad I decided to give it a smush. 😆

So many things I've never seen before, just beautiful. I'm going to Santa Fe in late October, can't wait to do some day- hiking, my son & daughter in law love it there, huge change from their years in Orlando.

That sounds amazing! The Santa Fe area is supposed to be really beautiful. I haven't spent time there, but it's on my long list of places I want to check out! Have a great time!

Cool. I lived 17 or my 21 years in Alaska in Anchorage and Palmer, driving by Turnagain Arm. As an elementary student, and in college, I never saw a beluga whale (1966 to 1987). And my father was the minister of the Girdwood church, so we drove to and from Anchorage every Saturday for years.

I really didn't expect to see them, but always keep my eyes open for them just in case. I yelled so loud when I spotted them that I have to give props to my son for keeping the car on the road. 😆 He lives in Anchorage and that's the first time he'd seen them as well. What a beautiful drive you had for those years! I would never tire of the Turnagain Arm. Even without belugas ☺

Your Spruce Grouse & White Winged Crossbills reminded me of our Common Gallinules we have here in FL. The Beluga Whale was amazing. 😮

I've never seen a common gallinule! I would never have heard of them except I follow Follow Thomas. So many different birds where you are! I was so shocked to see the belugas. We had looked for them before, but didn't really expect to ever see them. It seemed magical.

@@HikerT I subscribe to Follow Thomas also. His videos are great. Even though he lives 3 hours north of me, I have been on a lot of the same bike paths he has traveled to.

no bears? i’m new to alaska and have this in my list for next summer. thank you for sharing an amazing experience!

We saw no bears, but we were a pretty chatty group so that might have kept them away. We saw a LOT of bear sign and some of it was pretty fresh, so they were definitely around. We had our bear spray, and I didn't even feel too nervous going out to the privy at night. I think if I was alone and sleeping in a tent I would have been more nervous, but mostly bears don't want anything to do with people, if you keep the food odors contained/away from you, etc. I highly recommend this trail - I would love to do it again! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
