Went to college in B'ham and Cheaha was an enjoyable Saturday get away from the studies. The foothills of the Appalachians in northeast Alabama, northwest Georgia, and northwest South Carolina are all surprisingly beautiful. Looks like you had an enjoyable time. (Arnie)

We did, indeed, have a great time! And it is, in fact, a beautiful area! I really enjoy visiting that area.

Thanks for the video - I’ll be looking to do this loop as a 2 full day trip. Etiquette discussion I totally agree and you handled it well. I hammock camp - gonna solo in 2 weeks there - if that happens I’m gonna camp far away from people I hope! Some wilderness areas (such as Sipsey) have stated regs in group size and rangers wil issue fines

Why you hatin' on Alabama? "Can't believe this is Alabama!" "I wasn't expecting this from Alabama."
@rolltide26184 жыл бұрын
I believe that Alabama is one of the hidden gems of the United States. I am originally from Illinois and received a scholarship from the University of Alabama back in the 80's and I can remember being apprehensive about going. Everyone I knew was talking about how backward and hateful the people were and, of course, these were just unfair stereotypes. I have found both the land and the people to be wonderful and after college I ended up living there for nearly two decades. I finally took another job in FL, but I hope to return to the "Heart of Dixie" when I retire.

I literally felt the same about Alabama and Mississippi- never thought much of either state until I started to watch videos like this to prepare for a hiking road trip. I don’t think very many people view Alabama this way. Also, nothing wrong with stating that something surprised you in a good way that you weren’t expecting, happens all the time to places you’ve never been to before. That or the opposite. It’s natural

spot lighting deer is illegal in alabama so... no its not okay. also what happens when two separate groups of 6 come out? thats the same as one group as twelve. then what? and its pronounced CHEE-HA.
@chazthaspaz16 жыл бұрын
Che-ha is my favorite close to home hiking area. Per your comments on people on the trail, your not deep enough in woods.
