Those hot springs are so beautiful, and the views are the cherry on top! It looks like you were the only people there too. I’m adding this one to my list if I’m ever in Idaho 👍

Glad you enjoyed it. These are definitely cool hot springs to visit. The views are amazing. We had a few other people there, but it wasn't too bad. It get's a little more busy later in the year once the flow of the cold water goes down and there are more/better hot pools available.

what does the parking lot look like? big enough for a small camper?
@murphytravelsofficial10 ай бұрын
I don't remember for sure, but I think the parking area isn't very big. But a small camper would probably fit depending on it's size. There might have been a little parking in the side of the street as well. I believe camping isn't allowed at the trailhead since the trailhead and first short section of the trail is on private land. So just keep that in mind if you were considering camping there.

You could also check satellite mode on google maps to get a gauge of the turn around space.

How long did the hike up take with a kid?
@murphytravelsofficial6 ай бұрын
It's about 2 miles one way. It probably took us around 2 hours to get up.

I've been told the hike is actually pretty difficult?
@murphytravelsofficial6 ай бұрын
It depends on how much you hike. It's just under 2 miles one way and about 900 feet of elevation gain. There's also not a ton of shade. So it really just depends on the persons fitness level.

Do you need a permit to park your car at the trail head?
@murphytravelsofficial Жыл бұрын
No, you don't need a permit. 🙂

@@murphytravelsofficial thanks, last question where do people do their business when camping out there? Just dig a hole?
@murphytravelsofficial Жыл бұрын
@@keniaflores8881 Yeah. There is an outhouse by the trailhead, and then besides the first little bit of trail, it is all BML land. So just make sure the hole is buried at least 6 inches deep and that it's more than 200 feet away from any water sources. A WAG bag would also be an alternative to digging a hole if you were ever somewhere that you couldn't dig a deep enough hole..
