Thanks for watching! We love hot springs and always try to leave them better than we found them.

I've enjoyed hotsprings since 1961 and I thank people like you who take the time to respectfully clean up, maintain and preserve these gems for the next generation. Much respect and thank you for sharing of your video. A+

Thanks for watching and thank you for the kind words. I didn't get started until the early 2000's but kind of miss the adventure of seeking them out before the internet. I can only imagine how awesome they were back in the 60's.

@@DrifterJourney They were considerably challenging to find, especially without the use of modern technology and gps. We would hike to the tops of mountains and search for any steam rising from below. If you were lucky enough to "bum" a ride from a private pilot, One can readily see the steam emitted from hot spings which were not accessible from any roadway. The handheld compass was a plus then.

Just watched 2 of your hot springs videos. Just awesome! Wife and I are headed out to do the same thing in 6 weeks. Hoping to find some of these off the beaten path lesser known springs. Love that you dont publicly give the locations. Thanks for the videos!

Thanks for watching Dan! We try not to name the secret ones (very few these days) to keep the adventure going foe others. Half the fun is finding them! Happy hot spring hunting to you guys. We might see you out there.

Thanks for watching Walter! That's awesome. Idaho will help you get that count flying sky high if you really get after it. They are everywhere up there! Our list hit 125 last week (50 or so of those are ID alone). We love hot springs and the hot springs community!

lol watching this and just as you're talking about nudity in hot springs I get an ad for manscaped ffs haha. I think even when in view of a road etc just choose your moment to "drop trou" and it's fine, can always keep something to put on nearby if you really have to, such a nicer experience nude, could totally dip all those nude IMO with good timing. Great effort with the attempted rebuilding #1! #3 looked the clear winner! #5 - so mental when you see like a hotel bathtub like that out in the wild, much prefer like old tubs like the last one, super neat! Great video guys, can't wait for next soak!!

Thanks for watching, glad to have another hot springs fan among our subscribers! Webalways say, not all hot springs are created equal, and each one is a unique experience! Happy soaking!

What are some of the best was to find them? Plan on spending 10 days on a lot of the back roads in Idaho this year.

Lots of research, word of mouth, and following your nose was the old way. Nowadays......Google has a ton. Here is an affiliate link to your new best friend. We love this book for Idaho. amzn.to/3XdI1re

Love your channel! You make a good team. I'm just a working stiff currently, so it's good to live vicariously...My best friend and I are headed to Stanley/Salmon area this year to celebrate our collective 50th Bdays but I think we may have picked a dicey time to go. Any advice on Fall/Winter van camping in that area? We are looking at the BLM lands. Campgrounds are all closed. We only have a short time, but I've picked out some good springs. Agreed on the dogs, LOL

Hi Tamara. Thanks for watching! We generally only stay in free camping and there are several spots in those areas. Shoot us an email at thedrifterjourney@gmail.com. Let us know which hot springs you're planning to hit and we'll see if we can send a few places to camp in the area.

What is #3 called? I’m new to van life and am doing hot springs alley this august 🤗

Thanks for watching! I'm getting old and been to too many that I don't remember a lot of them by name like I used to. You'll have no shortage of finding them in Idaho. Especially if you snag the Idaho hot springs guide. These are all in there.

How do people find these?? I can't even find one
@DrifterJourney3 жыл бұрын
We use guide books to find the most remote ones. This one is great for Idaho: amzn.to/3qd95r6

i know where it is ! is the scrub brush still strapped to it?
@DrifterJourney3 жыл бұрын
The only one that had scrub brushes was the wooden box tub. The brushes weren't strapped to it, but the ones that were there seemed fairly new

10:40 So nice to bathe nude in the nature! The most spectacular is in winter with snow all around. We did that with a group of students, in the Pyrénées (mountains at the border between France and Spain, for some of us (not me) it was the first time they were nude with other people and some were shy, but after all they loved it and didn't regret at all not having taken swimsuits.

Thanks for respecting the hot springs . Keep em hidden . Not everyone is respectful like you two.
@DrifterJourney3 жыл бұрын
For sure! We do a lot of research to find these places and others can too. We figure, the harder it is to find, the more special it is and people take care of it!
