Great trip! I really like the superior tarp. Looks very versatile. Protein is king! Agree 1,000%. For me, I love the heat. But I will say it did get to me a little bit last year might be old age setting in. I like the mashed potatoes idea as a supplement to your meal.

The heat has bothered me ever since I stepped into the jungle in the Far East. Over 40 years ago. The humidity was horrible! But anytime in the great outdoors though, is worth it. I am going to try to do a little ultralight hiking this summer. Trying to cut the pack weight in half with the new gear that I have been buying. Doing DoorDash here and there to finance it. Thank you Dan so much for watching.

@@AdventureswiththeMarine Good luck with the ultralight. The benefit I like about being ultralight, or close to it, is it’s less wear and tear on my body while hiking. Being lighter allows me to hike farther more comfortably. But I don’t go to extremes with it either. I still bring everything that makes me comfortable. I am definitely it a minimalist in that regard. But purchasing lighter gear over the years allowed me to add stuff back into my load out while reducing weight.

Great info on why not to use stakes if you can. Runners 2 shirts & bandana look good. Camping & Styling there. And, you look good in pink. Yes, good hair 😂😂 Thanks for another nice video & wishing you both a happy Easter.
@AdventureswiththeMarine10 ай бұрын
I can pitch the tarp to exactly where I want it. No worries on stakes coming undone in the high winds. And no trying to pound them in the hard ground. I hope your Easter was a great one.

Good Morning to Runner and the Marine. Accepting mosquitos is a cost of admission to God's Country. Plus it helps keep the riffraff at bay. I sure enjoy your posting of another adventure. Outstanding scenery. T

Real nice canoe. I’ve had a Kevlar Wennonah Spirit II for 34 years now and absolutely love it. Light but stiff shell and you can solo it from the center as well as double it. Just one of the most versatile canoes. Enjoy your hang.

That sounds like the perfect canoe. I need to find one. Thank you Seniorsouthwick for sharing that. Good stuff.

That’s awesome about the dragonflies fighting off the skeetos! I’d love to see that in action. What we use are these small mosquito zappers. You put them on the perimeter of your camp and you’d be surprised how well they keep your camp bug free.

I need to try something. Because when the son went down. So did the Dragonflies for the night. But not so for the Mosquitos. It was dinnertime for them. Thank you John for watching. I really appreciate it.

What a beautiful spot and some good times were had. Now I'm jealous Runner has that great tarp to. Tried to order one twice but out of stock and only sold in a package deal at the time. May have to recheck the site. Turn 65 in May . Would be a good birthday present!!! Can you fold it to make doors? Take care and God Bless, Al
@AdventureswiththeMarine10 ай бұрын
My Brothers Granddaughter just bought on last week. They must be in stock. He ( my brother ) had his Granddaughter call me on which tarp to buy. Superior Shelter is the most versatile tarp for your money. You can make it rectangular. Or a hex tarp. And yes, you can make doors. I hope y0u and your family had a blessed Easter.
