It's something to factor in on building,how warm you want it or the added expense of a roof raise to help keep the interior height

Hmm I am not trying to be a downer bud but all the edges of your sheets of osb board should be landing on some form of framing to reduce flex in the board but cool bus mate I'll follow and see how you go

Does that Mr. Buddy heater produce enough heat? I’m wondering if I should get a propane torpedo heater or just wait till Spring. Thanks, I sent you an email Caleb earlier in this week. Thanks, Steve

This little buddy heater was perfect for working in it. Its would get to about 63f in our 35ft bus! We did just get two 12v diesel heaters and those are amazing! And yessir. Thank you so much. I responded.

? I just started a school bus conversion. You spent countless hours fixing floor and putting pennies down to cover holes, only to drill decking screws through the bottom of the bus? I'm not trying to be rude or anything just wondering? I am almost to subfloor in my conversion and looking for some enlightenment on how?
@BackroadPurpose
@BackroadPurpose 2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Good question. The purpose of the paint was just giving myself a clean service to work on. Cleaned up and solid to build on. The pennies is filling larger holes. Screws did cause a hole but not just an open hole for bugs and critters to climb through

In the video says 2.5 months? How many hours do you think has gone into insulating and flooring? Whatever it was for you, probably triple for me....lol
@BackroadPurpose
@BackroadPurpose 3 жыл бұрын
lol Id say a day for insulation and a day for covering and framing the floor. Now that've learned, time will be a lot less.

Hmm. It makes a thousand times more sense to hire a pro to come in and do expanding foam spray insulation. The pros who do this know how to do the prep work and application quickly and how to trim it so it's flat after it dries. You don't have to size and trim anything and you easily fill ALL the gaps.
@BackroadPurpose
@BackroadPurpose 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah possibly but I got all these sheets for $75 and took about 1.5 days. I don't make $1800 in a day so this was more cost effective for me.
@meinempanadas
@meinempanadas 2 жыл бұрын
@@BackroadPurpose It doesn't cost $1800 to get that done with expanding foam, you can also DIY, and the point is not so much the money but the insulation. Hard to feel proud of DIY on the cheap when you're freezing your butt off.
