"Backroads of Montana: Episode 7 - Havre to Hamilton" (1995)

Episode #7 of "Backroads of Montana" hosted by Montana TV & Radio personality, William Marcus.
Episode Seven "Havre to Hamilton" takes us to Havre Beneath the Streets, to the Pitchfork Fondue in Chinook, shows us the Shiniest Oldsmobile on Earth in Butte, and introduces us to Hamilton jazz pianist Jean Wrobel.
Program Updates
Havre Beneath the Streets is still open and has some new exhibits. Frank DeRosa, the friendly gentlemen who guided us beneath the streets, passed away in March 2005. The Fondue King still fires up his pot of boiling oil for Pitchfork Fondue in the Hi-Line area, although the price has gone up a little. That abandoned railroad trestle has become perilously rusted and weakened by the Montana weather. Jazz pianist Jean Wrobel, the "Jewel of the Bitterroot Valley" died in 2004, and Bob Corbett, the proud designer of the Shiniest Oldsmobile on Earth died in January, 2008.

William Marcus, I have been all over Montana, traveled across Hwy #2 from Havre to the west end of Montana. It is a beautiful State. I have a nephew live s in Hamilton. I was in Havre back in '76. I like the video Thanks for the post

The railroad trestle bridge, Blacktail Trestle, thankfully is now accessible as the Milwaukee Road Hiking Trail, south of Butte. Just take Hwy. 2 down south of Butte.

I went there last year every thing closed because COVID
