DUDE! I LOVE this channel! I found it when I was sick this weekend, I would so love to do what you both are doing! Being out on the beach, snorkeling, diving, eating what you catch. True freedom and surviving! The only thing that disturbs me is the freaking garbage on the beaches! That is so sick and maddening! why has the world become such a throw away society is beyond me!.......lol... other than that I really enjoy watching you do what you do!

Looked like another great day, you really should start anchoring with an endless mooring (endless loop anchor) that will give you much safer access to your boat over a greater range of tidal movement and limit your exposure to the toothy handbags.

If you haven't seen already, here is a trip I did a couple of years ago Kayaking to the Tip. kzbin.info/aero/PLtJHZztIhg_yuBZAfns9dw3DUzDJJpIli I empathise with you about the experience . Would love to hear more- how long it took, any close calls, how many in the crew, what kayak? Cheers mate

@@BacktoBasics glad to reply, two only , myself and a mate, kayak were Scupper Pro , with hatch fore and aft , a few adventures, a capsize just south of Cooktown my fault , not lashing down a hatch properly, a very close encounter with a croc at Cape Melville , after 6 weeks weather and seas turned nasty , 10 days holed up at Temple Bay , we decided to hide Kayaks and walk to the tip to meet the ferry home , 10 days and 300 Ks later we walked to the tip , following year we went back to temple bay , refurbished kayaks and paddled to tip in under 3 weeks, we also had small triangular sails , which gave a extra knot , regards Peter

Excellent video mate, truly what the Cape is all about. Just a heads up regarding the oysters, if you open them on the rock and then leave the base still attached to the rock new oysters can not attach to it. You should remove the whole oyster and then open it or remove the base once you open it on the rock.

Nice work Azz but it ain’t a patch on my Friday adventure. I decided I was gunna go to northern nsw to catch a Spanish cause the qld fisheries are clowns. Anyhoo I had to struggle with Gold Coast traffic! That’s worse than starvation or perhaps a stingray bite. Then I launched at evans head and anchored up in the river for the night. It was hot in my half cab. And I almost ran out of beer. Nek day I ran up to Riordans shoal in the dark, risking my very life. Got there and realised I was about an hour too early. Waited till daybreak. I then had to catch livies ✅ get good troll rigs ✅ and get about catching my dinner. I was hungry! I’d had to survive on supermarket cheese and biscuit packs the evening before. Evan had to eat breakfast biscuits. Pickings were slim. Where’s the baked whole fish? Anyhoo I had to come back empty handed and fight my way to the bakery for a curried sausage roll. Talk about stress. Anyhoo if I’m ever up El Arish way can I come and try your awesome produce?
