From a former speed skater’s perspective, the way that companies that no longer have brick and mortar advise customers to measure flat on paper is an incorrect way to measure for many and causes us to have skates that are too big. However, I am just now discovering this… I grew up speed skating when boots were quality (100% carbon fiber, none of garbage carbon with thermo plastic resin and full grain calf leather)…and fitted by a professional. I went to the company I previously bought three separate boots as a growing child/teen ( sorry mom and dad.) The last pair of Boots were again purchased at a brick and mortar with a professional measuring, molding etc.. the last size I had was a 37.5 narrow. I remember a bit of room at the toes but the boot itself fit snug and I had zero issues. Measuring our feet while flat is inconsistent with the mechanics of our feet while in the boot. We should be measuring while relaxed. Some people see no changes others see over an inch difference due to arch height. That said, I didn’t know the above until very recently. Like you mentioned, I am one getting back into skating, all I know is inline speed skates so this what I went for. Given we had to shop online, I went to the companies webpage, followed the directions and measured multiple times. They advised a size 6/38 regular. I got the skates, bro, my feet are swimming. They feel comfortable like a shoe but the first time I took them out, I had to take my reg socks off and put two pairs of thick Nike Dry fit cushion/sport compression and a pair of thick snowboarding socks, as both have extra achilles material for that heel slippage…. And, I had tape my ankle for joint support… and they were still yuuuuuge. I molded them again, added footbeds (super feet) for volume and nada. That said, maybe discuss measuring the foot relaxed with the knee flexed over the foot?

Love the videos. Question, because I used to agressive skate from 98-02 but haven’t touched a pair of rollerblades since then and I forgot how they feel.. over the years of playing basketball and football in high school I fucked my ankle so bad that the right one just feels permanently weak… question is, do inline skates offer good ankle support? I really don’t want to fick my shit up but I’ve been wanting to get back into blading for years now

Do ankle excercises. Use easy ones for start and do not push too hard. Also try some ankle protection/support open socks like MyFit Footies etc.

Just ordered the Rollerblades RB Pro X skates in size 11 from Dicks sporting goods and they sent me a size 9! I’m so sad because I was really excited to start them out today. However I was surprised that I could get them on, it was just really tight. Now I can’t find any size 11 anywhere so I’m hoping that I can get a size 10 somewhere and that they will fit. I really wish I could try them on in store but there are none around me 😭

Please, help me! I live in Brazil and I'm going to buy a roces fco online, but I'm having trouble choosing the size. I saw conflicting information on the internet and I can't make any mistakes because if I buy the wrong size it will be very difficult to exchange. My feet are 27cm, can you tell me what size I should choose? The skates will come from Europe.

@@RH__1 Thanks for the info! I wish I would have had a place to try them on. The larges are working fine, but there's a little heel lift on the smaller foot. I'm going to get some hockey laces to see if I can wrap around the skate for a better hold. But yeah, definitely thinking about the Medium next time. I love the skates in general.

Depends on which skate. 26cm is usually a size 7, so the 8 is probably fine.

Yes, very narrow. For 10cm at 26.5, you look pretty wide. Normal D width is 9.6cm wide for 26.5 length cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0723/9035/files/US_Mens_Shoe_Chart_1024x1024.png

I’m a shoes size us 11 and have wide feet what fast urban complete slate would fit well? I’m willing to spend up to 500. The rollerblade twister xt looked nice but heard it’s only for narrow feet.
@klerkusmaximus Жыл бұрын
There are plenty out there who lists US 11. Integrated liners: - Powerslide HC Evo Pro - FR iGor if not on sale they might be out of budget - Seba High Light / Carbon same as FR iGor - Rollerblade Crossfire (if you fit them, I really would go for them, they are premium for what you get) Urban Skates: - would still try the Twister xt or some Edge - Adapt - Powerslide Next (would only go for black, because I have seen some reddit posts killing the coloured Next shells, and they seem to be for narrow feet aswell but still would try them) - FR Skates like the FR1 - Iqon CL 20 many more It really depends on your taste of type of skates, the style of your skating aswell. Wouldn't sink too much of a thought on width though. For example HC Evo Pros are said to fit narrow feet. I at least think I have a wide feet (yet between D and E I will measure it again later). But the width fit, not the size though.
