I’ve been skating almost 2 years and skating backwards has been my biggest hurdle, can’t wait to practice this video and fall over like I’m just starting to skate all over again lol

Backwards skating is really the hardest thing for me. I am currently learning Crazy Legs and even that I find easier. That’s why I’m grateful for every video about backward skating 🙏🏻

I'm so happy I was able to share this drill for learning how to direct yourself while backwards rollerskating! This is a buildable drill that I'll be expanding in the next video on this skill so you can continue to progress & challenging your skills at backwards skating. This is just the first video, so I hope you enjoyed and know there's more coming here on my channel to help you keep improving at this :) Thanks for being patient and understand as I haven't posted in awhile- as some of you know I'm currently in the middle of moving across the country. Feel free to let me know if there's anything I can help you out with- tips, tutorials, advice, drills, etc. Love you! Breanna aka Simon Slays 55

Definitely needed this! I’ve been skating for almost a year and backwards skating is still something I struggle with. Time to drill!!!

Awesome training video. This specific backwards skating is great for the dance moves as well. That's what I use it for. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

That's awesome! Love to hear it, and of course- it's my joy to get to do this!

@@simon_slays55 You are the best roller skating content creator! I will continue to follow your future videos and support your mission. I like to see you create a tutorial video on a backward spiral whenever you have time. It's has a beautiful flow of elegant and graceful whenever I see a figure skating perform at the dancing competition. Thanks!

Question!! How do you stay active with your skating during the winter months? I live in Chicago and am already trying to figure out how ill continue to practice after summer ends.

Options I can think of… buy an empty warehouse, vacation to Arizona or california, go to an indoor rink, skate “mom’s” hardwood floor
@yaniragonzalez8333 жыл бұрын
@@James_cowley the last 2 options seem the most feasible to me 🤣 thanks for the suggestions!

Great drill! explanation at the beginning was a bit long tho lol. I think we got that we needed some kind of marker after the first time you said it. 😄

Yes!!! This is exactly what I will be practising! Also wondering are you still loving the 62mm radar energy wheels? I'm 5'6 and trying to decide between the 62mm and the 57mm... can decide and I can only afford to buy one size at this stage. Would love your suggestion 🙏
