I love how you insert vertical interest throughout the garden Jim....to hell with the "rules" I say. Your backyard is amazing at this time of the year. Your cast iron plant looks sooo healthy and lush. Thanks for sharing!

Really nice Jim. I recommend your channel to all my garden friends. Experience, common since, not pushing plants to sell, frugal, and just a nice man. Your garden has come along way in a short time. I moved into a new place in OKC about the same time you did and really appreciate your advice to us!

Jim are you being a smart ass about the clown college thinglol? I love your personality that has edged through over the last couple of years that I have been watching!! Love your yard!! I have picked up so many tips. We have 3 all on north side of house of course one gets east side and one in middle gets north and one gets west . They all do well. Can’t really see much difference in growth. It is strange because even though my back yard is north it gets as much sun as front which is south because of those big oaks probably.

I love my Mona plectranthus! It was in a lone untagged small pot at the nursery and I didn't know what it was but had to have it. I love it for the leaves alone. It has grown in a not very big pot to a huge 3-4 foot plant full of purple blooms. I'm hoping to keep over in a protected environment for next year or to get starts from it.

Angelonia still hopping with pollinators here, but the hyssop, salvia and speedwell are the most popular. Your garden canvas is nicely painted with the beauty of what you have chosen. Can’t wait to see what you do next! Thanks for sharing! I got the Mona Purple this year. The bumble bees are loving those too. The blooms and leaves are just beautiful! That plant looks spectacular near bright green Anise (BananAppeal).

My ageratums only bloom late summer and fall until frost. The reseed themselves. If I didn’t know any better, I would mistake them for weeds and pull them out during the summer. I do like them blooming in the fall as they provide nice coloring throughout the beds.

Love your mixed borders, and how quickly they have become established. I'm in the UK and get so many ideas from you on how to use shape, and leaf form/colour. However, I do struggle with some of the plants common names which arnt recognised in UK and have to resort to Googling them. We are probably a 7b equivalent here but my Loropetalum didn't survive the -6C last Winter. The C. Sasanquas are doing ok so far though, with one blooming already.

Hi Jim, love your content! Do you have experience with rabbits eating ground cover plants? They’ve been grazing on my Irish Moss, Creeping Thyme, and Vinca Minor. So as a temporary measure I covered them all with chicken wire, which has been effective but is obviously very unsightly. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

When you shaped your maple, did you start shaping the trunk in sections or did you shape it all at once? I'm wanting to try to shape one. Do you have a video on how you contorted your maple? Did you plant your farfugium japonicum from seed? If so, where did you purchase them from? I love this video! It's very informative. Thank you so much.

Jim, thanks for all the quality content! Question - I reviewed all your videos on the Cleyeras and screen plants - I need a 10 foot tall (or more) fast growin plant that I can plant about 10 feet apart and that will row together at the top. I'd like to carve a walkway through the middle. What plant would that be?

Beautiful. I am visiting an area outside of Ashville. Seeing tons and tons of Kudzu and wondering if you’ve dealt with it. It is taking over areas of the rental property I am staying on and I just want to rip it all out. I can see why they call it the vine that ate the south. Have not seen this in Western New York yet.
