Beautiful yard. My gosh. They done good Jim. I don't understand the use of Creeping Jenny in landscapes though. I live in central Illinois 5B and if one piece of that plant from a container combo planter touches the ground........it roots and goes all over. I would call it invasive. And yes, it does overwinter here and comes to life more robust than ever

Jim, I just love these tours so much! They are exciting for me to get to wander through extraordinarily landscaped yards. Thank you for providing this opportunity for me. Although I'm a FL zone 9B so the plants aren't that important (other than for their beauty), I see the repeated message of invasive plants, the importance of choosing plants that bloom during different times throughout the year, and other lessons constantly repeated throughout your videos. Your videos are not only beautiful, but also very educational. Your time, effort, and knowledge are very much appreciated. Thanks.

My neighbor's dead trees fall every time we have a storm (I say a prayer they fall into her yard instead of mine), but I'm having fun clearing out and designing each new section of garden! The briars and poison ivy aren't the best, but hey - I'm making space to plant more shrubs and flowers and it doesn't get better than that!

I'm really enjoying all of your great backyard videos. I'm working to get our yard as presentable as the ones you have shown. My only suggestion for you is to use a font that has a black outline or a shadow for some of the descriptive shots that are aimed at a light background or up at the sky. The white font tends to blend in with the light background making it hard to read until you point back at some green foliage. Sometimes this isn't enough time to read it all. Again, great work on the videos!

Thanks for the tour, beautiful garden! And now I know why my pink dogwood only has 2-3 blooms on it every year, too much shade even though it gets 4-6 hours of filtered to direct sun in the afternoon. It's 8-10 feet tall now so I don't want to try to transplant it. Rats!

Ivy is very invasive. Just with a cotton or a small cloth wipe the leaves with a roundup - it will be absorbed and kill the roots that are in the part of your garden. They grow rhizomes horizontal under the soil. Control them. They will strangle the roots of your plants and weaken them very sadly. I am organic mi fed gardener. Ask another ivy control spray. Beautiful video and I have learnt a lot. Love you letting us know the names of your garden plants. Thank you. Well done 👍

Very good looking, healthy helleborus. I'm jealous! Aphids, slugs, snails, and disease got mine. I finally dug them all out and tossed them into the yard recycle bin. Hopefully, where they're going will heat up enough to kill whatever ailed them. I don't like ivy. Fortunately, neither do any of my neighbors. If it ever came into my yard, I'd be tempted to spray along the fence line at the first sign of any leaves poking through, and spray any starts popping up from seeds spread by birds. Blackberries are a problem. Birds spread the seeds from miles away. I'm constantly running across babies and pulling or digging them out. Those I don't spray because I'm not as mad at them as I am ivy. Hope the ivy problem in this showcase yard gets under control! I wouldn't mind at all if solomen's seal was invasive in my yard. I can't get it to grow no matter what and I've tried for at least ten years. I keep planting it and it dies out. Move it around someplace else and it dies out.
