These look great, thank you for sharing! How far apart did you set the ground posts? Do you think this could be done without the center post and still be sturdy?

Thanks! They are really great. I posted an article here: www.instructables.com/Backyard-Hammock-Swings-DIY-Project/ It has measurements and other great info. I spaced my posts 5 feet apart, but it really depends upon the swings you have and how much space they need. You don't want to be clanging into each other. My brother built one in his backyard this summer that did not have a center brace. It worked great, but my one suggestion to him was to add some bracing to the top of the posts for the beam. Without the center post you may also want to shorten the space between a tad and that will also add stability. Good luck!

Could home depot buckets with cement work for this project? I would love to give this a try. But can't do nothing permanent to the backyard 😒

Perhaps. I think that you would just want to be careful not to swing too hard. You never know until you try.

I love swings but I live on a rental property. Is there a way to do it without digging the ground? Thanks Happy Swinging!

I'm sure there is. You could probably brace it at the bottom somehow, but I think that it would take a lot of planning. Unfortunately, I am not an engineer and so I can't tell you exactly how it would need to be done.

Do you have a price point at about how much this cost? Sorry if you said it in the video I don’t remember you saying it:)

Thanks! It may not look like it in the pictures, but there is actually plenty of space between the swings and the flowers.

I'm concerned about the top holding water and rotting the wood. Not the best of designs. The 2 long boards should have been lowered so that it didn't make a water trough. Still, it looks really fun and comfortable.

Perfectly good point. One of the things that I didn't show in the video was that I slightly angle the top brace to avoid water pooling and after the first rain I drilled a few tiny holes to allow for water drainage where there was pooling. The bigger problem I have had is the leaves getting caught up there in the fall.
