PS: After doing ONE shot with the incorrect shoulder position, it feels tender a day later. I'm someone who can do hundreds of shots and feel fine. Don't get complacent with your form.

Can someone help me? Im looking to buy the Samick Polaris and my draw length is 25”. Which should mean I should get the 14 inch riser, 48 inch limbs. But I have a question, on every website the highest poundage for this configuration is 16#. Does 16# mean 16 pounds per limb or 16 pounds in total? Ps Great video, keep up the good work!
@mortenjacobsen56733 жыл бұрын
@@rhashem1534 total, but strange they onlu come to 16 lbs when other come to 25lbs, are you looking at kids or youth bows? Remember those 16 lbs are messured at 28 inches so those 16lbs are gona be far less, maybe you should consider the samic sage where you can get more effective limbs? If you get 30 lbs limbs you might end up with 20 to 25 lbs at your draw, a shorter bow makes up a little bit speed compared to a longet pne but if the poundage is equal.

I know it won't happen, but I feel like someone's shoulder is going to pop out when I see them shoot like this. I forgot which Olympian it was, but I remember seeing them always begin the draw with the T shape with arms parallel to the ground, then make a very clear bend at the waist to adjust for the distance. They separated the motions to make sure they did both right.

I shot at low targets for years; as a wheelchair user, who really should not have been shooting at low targets, I didn't realize how bad it was for me until I upgraded my bow and bought a target which came with an actual stand. It took a month of consistent practice to correct my form, but, now I can't imagine shooting at a low target ever again.

Would love to see your review on the DRAKE (company) bows, especially the DRAKE Black Raven or Black Raven 2.0. They seem like really good reasonable priced bows, I just ordered the Black Raven (1.0) from BSW-archery. The bow itself is 150€ but can be bought in a discounted set with other essentials like arrows, protection, bag,... for just 180€, a lot cheaper than buying the extras separately. I just hope its a good bow, there is very little information online about it.

I’ve been seeing compilations of people dry firing their bow and you’ve got to tell us what your secret is, how have you not broken your bow. Teach me how to shoot an arrow without having it slip away and end up breaking my bow by accident😔
@x3roxide3 жыл бұрын
always check your nock fit. if it is falling off by itself, it's probably too loose. Sometimes this is due to a worn string in which case, all the nocks will be loose. However, if it's only a single nock (or 2), you can either replace the nock (best way), or try to fix the nock by placing it in water just boiled for a few seconds to soften the plastic, remove it from the water and then you can squeeze the prongs closer together with just your fingers until it cools and gets harder again.

Is it okay if your back foot lifts off the ground slightly?
@NUSensei2 жыл бұрын
No. You want to plant your feet for stability. Once your back foot leaves the ground, you lose back tension.

I’ve seen people use two fingers ( middle and ring finger ) to draw back, is that acceptable? Or are all three fingers required? What do you think?
@NUSensei3 жыл бұрын
Rather unorthodox. Two-finger shooting is more typically down with the index and middle finger, as these are the strongest fingers.
