50:40 ... no they need to remove the dirt along the fence. You need drainage under the fence. You don't want the water pooling in your yard. It will also rot out the bottom of the fence. Beautiful tulips clusters and the other purple spring flower ... is that a hyacinth? Looking pretty! 🌷🪻 P.S. You do what you want ... it's your garden! Plant and do what makes you happy. That deck/patio space is going to be lovely. You are lucky to have that shade ... maybe you could grill there? You need shade when flipping them steaks, hotdogs and burgers!!!! I am so enjoying your series. Thank you for sharing! 🌸

I have never used fake flowers myself but I have seen plenty of people use them. I think a few of them will look cute in your front garden bed on each side where nothing is growing, and to bring in some white once the tulips and hyacinths (purple flowers) bloom.

Try rubber mulch. I love it.
@KimberlyVaughn-u4y7 ай бұрын
Hi Emoie the red flowers are Tulipa Montana which are part of the tulip family. Perennials are the type of plants that come back every year not to be confused with annuals. You may want to wait a month or so before planting those flowers because it's still too cold for the Midwest. Amazon have some very nice faux outdoor flowers that look real and are fade resistant. I add some fake flowers in between my real ones to make them stretch.
@yvetternld457 ай бұрын
Just a suggestion, you should add some weed fabric in the front yard and then the mulch.

Just to say hi, I really enjoy your videos and you are doing such a wonderful job with the house and now the out side of your house. Around your fence with your flowers maybe you should put them in a flower pot and lay them down like that would look cute. I did not have a green thumb so I buy fake flowers for my garden two. Enjoy your week. God bless.🙏

I have some fake flowers as well that looks real.. lol I also spray them with Scotchgard outdoor s& water shield to keep them from fading. They also have rubber mulch that comes in different colors as well. Check into that to put around your fence. 😉

Hi Emonie Everything is coming into place . Your shady area by your garage some hosta will do great there they are hardy plants come back every year on time Spring through fall , Flower July or August white or lavender flowers . You can Google hardy plants in your zone and take little to no work moderate water. But your front garden is spring plants and they will soon fade I think the red are poppies but I really don't know . Knock out rose bushes are gorgeous comes in white & variety colors different Styles of flower that blooms continuously . Your perennials plants bloom at different times during the summer depends on the plant . Some flowers love sun , some love shade some survive in partial sun & shade you basically have to pay attention to your sunny area and shady area plant according. Don't defeat yourself you never do when it comes to plants your lil pansies are annuals last only a season when they look like they're dying its a sign of thirst like humans they need a drink of water to hydrate. Google plants and go to KZbin channels many pros can teach you what they know . Good luck God's willing I'll be watching . Continued Success ❤. P.S don't sleep on your annuals they add color and blooms all summer long to your garden.Take the challenge if it don't work out then you say you tried it's not for you .

You are growing tulips and hyacinth in your yard. You need to weed and mulch in the area to control the weeds. Your flowers are beautiful. I would sprinkle some preen down and get some weed barrier around the flowers to control the weeds.

Those rocks are from the builders, when we had our house built in 2003, we took up the plants that the builder planted, and put in a different type, OMG, you would be surprised at what all we pulled out. Our neighbors were comparing the different types of trash and different size of rocks well pulled out.

Hey Emonie, l am enjoying your backyard renovation series. I would suggest low maintence flowers with planting perennials. I am not a fan on of the minature white fence around flower bed in front. Maybe consider concrete retaining bricks for more sophisticated curb appeal. Overall l am excited about the yard renovations.🌷🪻⚘️

Hi Emonie I hope this helps with your query about the flowers in your front garden. Plant pansies from late summer to mid/late autumn to bloom through winter and the following spring. They can also be planted in spring to early summer to bloom through the growing season. Spacing depends on planting time as well as variety.

Yes keep the videos coming…love this series!Oh rubber mulch is a life changer. Last longer and color doesn’t fade!. It’s a little more pricey but worth it!!!!. Hostas are low maintenance and tend to look good on flower beds and in gardens ( these come back ever year and are perennials which is what you want not annuals). If your leaning towards low maintenance bushes boxwoods are good. You can research the many types. If you need to see how any of the things I mention look in the yard or garden let me know and I can send you my personal pictures by email. Can’t wait to see your outcome ❤

The rocks could have been used to help with drainage from your gutters. That's typical for a small yard that helps to protect your foundation. I was thinking about using pavers but decided against it over concrete. I have a new construction, and it just made sense because I want a saltwater pool in the future.

Hey girl hey... The cute little garden is adorable with the white fence you installed... all you need to do now is clean out the weeds, put down some flower fertilizer to feed the red tulips, and apply some mulch! And you should never be afraid to plant real flowers, it's called trial and error to do better as you go! Hydrangeas are resilient plants. Start off with planting 1 or 2 and fertilize them.Then all you have to do is water them 2 times a week unless it rains and watch them thrive! You got this, you can do it! Just have patience with yourself and learn as you go!😊

Hey Emonie, I am so excited for you along this journey filled with creativity and beautification In the upcoming warm to hot sunny days, you will come to appreciate the shaded areas of your property. You should clean up the weeds before putting down any weed barriers and mulch. It will give it a cleaner and professional appearance.
