I mad this last night 28th July 2023 and YES it is perfect, actually so perfect I wont need to drive 700km interstate to buy it anymore, but now to make it at home all the time. I need this recipe nailed the brief when I made it and with my eyes closed sample the sauce (after I cooled it down a bit) as soon as I could taste it I knew this was the real Peking Sauce I have known for over 20 years. Last night the 13th August 2023 I finally cooked both the Peking Sauce and the Shredded beef, this meant that after 18 years I have cooked my favourite meal at home and i am super excited. I did take photos but had no way to add them, however the taste was spot on and I think mine was better with crispyness and like my previous post the sauce was OMG Top chef class. My sincere thanks to Backyard Chef for the recipes and the video, If you are reading this Please take the time to make this dish you will not be disappointed and your friends will be amazed, Now to look at the other recipes 😊who knows maybe there is another top dish just waiting for me. Hi Rik, this looks fantastic! As far as I know, corn flour is yellow here in the US. Is there a chance that what you call corn flour across the pond is what we call corn starch here? I'll have to try this soon, thanks for your work on the recipe.

Hi Rik, great stuff again that looks delicious. When cooking the beef do you have the oil a bit cooler on first fry then krank it up to crisp? Also how long does it take to cook through? Cheers 👏🏼

Yes you can cook that way - to be honest its the same temp all the time for us - it will crisp on the second fry. Really depends on hoe thick you slice I'm afraid. Best, Rik
