My sister’s 04’ Odyssey driver side window drops all the way down today, l have watch many demonstrations, your are the best, l paid $85 for the part from AUTO ADVANCED , within four hours l got the part, $35 on Amazon, 5 days delivery, l choose the quick fix, my sister gave me two thumbs up and a big hug , THANKS TO YOU !!!!!!

Thanks for the excellent instruction video! Today I changed out the driver door regulator and motor, and it went exactly as you described so well. I would also suggest to anyone following the video to use the ratcheting 10m wrench as you did, as this works much better than the alternative!

Thanks for the video. I ended up just opening the spool and undoing the knot inside. Was tricky fixing the cable to be straight again but hit it to work again. Didn’t think I could do it but your video helped a lot.

Thank you so much for this video! This is the best video on the subject! I was able to fix my window! That only issue I had is because the part I got was slightly shorter in terms of cables I had to bolt the window holder before the motor! Hope this helps someone else!

Turns out though, that my 2003 Odyssey had a different part than this one. Even though both this part and the one I actually needed both checked out on their part checker program. Mine has a black box attached to the door that is not on this video, just near the motor harnesses and there are TWO harnesses coming off the motor part, connecting to door, not the ONE pictured here. The black box had to be replaced and connected to get the new regulator to move to the desired installation position.

@@backyardchevy328 Put the new regulator in, then couldn't get it to work. Took it out, tested the motor with a cordless drill battery, and it worked. Checked the fuses, and then realized I had the master switch turned off at the driver's door. D'oh!

If u have to, id try to spray some wd40 or some kind of penetrant to get onto the threads using the lil straw tip and maybe help it break loose then give it a lil time to soak in

Yes in some vehicles theyre sold as a single piece..others they both they sell the motor or regulator separate of each other and also together...just go to a parts store and give em your year make and model and theyll be able to tell u if theyre sold together or separately

Yea, it most likely damaged the window motor or splines that drive the regulator
