All informational videos should be done like this! He shows every step, tells torque values and properly shows what needs to be done including adding/checking coolant levels. Most concise video out there! Anyone with basic mechanical skills can do this.

This is a great video. I don't know much at all about mechanic stuff, but I am speaking in terms of just being able to follow along. Thank you and good job. I know it is difficult to get good angles, and get the cameras to focus properly when working on car stuff.

I agree with all the other comments "great video" made the job so much easier. Guys like you have saved me so much money, truly appreciate it. this was extremely helpful. dont know anything about cars. Had my drive belt snap....which made ALL my lights come on and power steering fail. Replaced the belt. Belt slipped. Water pump was the problem. A complete novice replaced a water pump in less than a day, for less than $150 💪🏾

Excellent video! There is no control valve on the 3.5/3.9 so you don't have to turn on the heater, other than to see if it works (if it doesn't, there is an air pocket). The factory bleed procedure is 2500 rpm for 40 seconds, refill, 2500 rpm for 30 seconds, refill, 2500 rpm for 20 seconds, refill, fill the coolant bottle to the full line plus 13.5 oz, run above 2500 rpm until the thermostat opens, then rev at 3000 rpm three times for 4 seconds each.

by far one of the best wp vids ive seen. great idea for the recirc at 2500 for 40 sec. and recheck/repeat as needed but wonder why you didnt have heat full on at that time? ive always done as dad told me and recirc for 2 min with funnel still in and heat on high, but will give this a shot. thanks, bob
@backyardchevy328
@backyardchevy328 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you🙂 ive just had bad experiences with funnel still in, when a car's got a head gasket issue itll shoot the coolant out, so i take a more cautious approach...but that method works.

To avoid any issue like funnel thing and wondering why the heat on full blast, they create a vaccum bleeder type tool.

You could have a separate viedo linked in the description on the belt. Any viedo is Greatly appreciated by the people. You did the people a great helping hand and did a fantastic job.. Thanks again have a great night. / /Also a great cost savings is 1A Auto Parts online it takes 3-4 days to get delivered.. Order before 2 P.M. They get shipped that night. The cost savings over parts stores is quite a bit. // Also if you unscrew the value on the radiator to let the fluid out of it while hot, and under pressure it will blow the value two feet, and spray the hot raditor fluid all over your hand. f.y.i.

ok I have an 08 Impala 3500 and its been having heat issues, I replaced radiator, flushed heater core and before all that it was ice cold no heat, but now some days it has heat but Luke warm and some days it has no heat until we drive it and when we come to a stop its back to ice cold. oh I also had the thermostat replaced. now I'm thinking water pump. Taking it to a shop and having them replace 1 thing at a time is such a hassle.

I use two wrenches one to hold one of the bolt heads and loosening the remaining 3..then the last one just lil taps on the wrench as ur usually loosens the last one...and to tighten same thing...or u can remove one bolt and stick something that fits through to hold on to the water pump housing.
