All informational videos should be done like this! He shows every step, tells torque values and properly shows what needs to be done including adding/checking coolant levels. Most concise video out there! Anyone with basic mechanical skills can do this.

Excellent video! There is no control valve on the 3.5/3.9 so you don't have to turn on the heater, other than to see if it works (if it doesn't, there is an air pocket). The factory bleed procedure is 2500 rpm for 40 seconds, refill, 2500 rpm for 30 seconds, refill, 2500 rpm for 20 seconds, refill, fill the coolant bottle to the full line plus 13.5 oz, run above 2500 rpm until the thermostat opens, then rev at 3000 rpm three times for 4 seconds each.

by far one of the best wp vids ive seen. great idea for the recirc at 2500 for 40 sec. and recheck/repeat as needed but wonder why you didnt have heat full on at that time? ive always done as dad told me and recirc for 2 min with funnel still in and heat on high, but will give this a shot. thanks, bob
@backyardchevy3284 жыл бұрын
Thank you🙂 ive just had bad experiences with funnel still in, when a car's got a head gasket issue itll shoot the coolant out, so i take a more cautious approach...but that method works.
@israelcarbajal77604 жыл бұрын
To avoid any issue like funnel thing and wondering why the heat on full blast, they create a vaccum bleeder type tool.

I use two wrenches one to hold one of the bolt heads and loosening the remaining 3..then the last one just lil taps on the wrench as ur usually loosens the last one...and to tighten same thing...or u can remove one bolt and stick something that fits through to hold on to the water pump housing.
