@Mtc4014 жыл бұрын
That looks absolutely sick, also looked like a lotta work though. I think the shark fin is the best idea because the drop is banked and then you are already going in that direction and it would make for a sick section of two twisty features in a row. Also in my opinion it looks nicer if you have a dirt feature after a wooden one (no two wooden features in a row). But still either would be sick!!!

Nice one there! Love the doggo action shots! Maybe a quick riding tip for this drop ; Take a wider line on the wood and maintain the bike leaned over a little bit as you go over the edge of the drop. The bike, and your center of mass, should be perpendicular to the wood at the edge of the drop. This will feel much more "natural". Right now you cut the corner and straighten up as you hit the drop and that leaves you in an awkward position for landing, since this feature is basically a berm. You can adjust the landing to your preference once you're able to get a consistent arc around the whole feature. Also, keeping the lean will unlock the "scrub" for you. As you go over the edge, you "over-lean" the bike and over-steer the handlebars, making the bike feel lighter under you by crouching at the same time. As you hit the feature faster and faster, that scrub motion comes earlier and more aggressively, allowing you to avoid over shooting like Endo does. Cheers bud! -A fellow 20-something home trail features builder.

I didn’t vote for this, but I am glad I was out votes! That thing is sweet. I’m very Impressed with the build, with all you notches and grooves. If you plan on chiseling more things I would get a round woodworms mallet. It’s bigger, so less missing the chisel and easier to control.

I've only seen a few so far, but your vids are great and make me want to get into mountain biking! Also, math tip to save you some time with those perfect curves/arcs (5:30): if you want to find the spot for your shovel that will meet both posts, you can take two strings of equal length (the length of your arc's radius) and tie them to each post. Their ends should meet in the spot where your shovel should go. Hope that helps down the road👍

Yes, in fact Danna (my girlfriend) got rocky mountain spotted fever a little over a year ago and still deals with the aftermath of it.
