BACON AND CHEDDAR SODA BREAD
INGREDIENTS:
400 g (14 oz/ 3¼ cups) plain (all-purpose) flour, plus extra for dusting
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
½ teaspoon salt
200 g (7 oz) smoked bacon, cooked, sliced and drained on paper towels
110 g (4 oz) mature Cheddar, grated
300 ml (10 fl oz/1½ cups) buttermilk
