The Night Sister mystical "Lazarus Pit" theory makes sense (and I love the Batman reference, BTW). I am glad they are brinign gher back, and hope that her redemption arc continues. She was a great character, who went through a great deal of suffering, but managed to transcend it in a way Maul did not. Can't wait to see it.

Excellent recap! Although, I will say, you commented about Star Wars bringing back another character from the deaf "for no reason". Here's my thinking: Not for NO reason. For ONE reason. The sequel trilogy was SO devisive and not good overall, that they're stuck. "Where do we take Rey from here after being so poorly received?" The ONE reason: they have no confidence in their storytelling ability moving forward, therefore, they keep turning to characters, fan favorite characters, of the past. It's been happening since Rogue One, but I would argue that both Rogue One and Mandalorian S:2 E:8 did it right and in very good taste.

lets be real, they brought her back because they know they dont have the creativity or skill to create a new character or adapt a universe character that fans will actually like (they’ve proven that time and time again), so instead they decided to bring back one that they know the fans like. they are focused on doing as little creative work as possible while still attempting to maximize monetary gain. ive stopped watching everything disney. only way to show them how shit they are is to boycott. i suggest we all do the same and stop treating mediocrity as an acceptable standard for a MULTI-BILLION dollar company. honestly this applies to a lot of the entertainment industry, not just disney star wars.

The type of character Ventress represents is something I've wanted to see get more representation on screen in Star Wars. I really hope her story takes her well beyond Bad Batch, and maybe even eventually meeting back up with Ahsoka or something.

Well. I don't think the writers of dark disciples ever thought she would return. That was a very clear send off to the character. Although her return makes more sense due to her specal night sister circumstance, i don't think it should have been done. She's an interesting character but this feels cheap. If they wanted to tell her story make a dark disciple movie. They need to make original characters instead of changing the stories of old one's. Plus a resurrection is ok in some situations where the story of the character supports it, in this situation it really doesn't. It just feels like ventress could make them a lot of money

3 theory’s I have: 1. She is a clone of the original Ventress. Palpatine did clone himself in both legends and canon and someone might have been obsessed with the nightsisters and he/she wanted to bring that culture back. 2: It’s a flashback (even though highly unlikely) Ventress could have met the Bad Batch at some point before her death who was trying to hide from the Galaxy but somehow the galaxy keeps bringing her back which is through the Bad Batch keep crossing her path. Or 3 the writers did what Ventress did in legends where she faked her death.

Quinlan Vos and Obi Wan take her body back to the nightsister cave on Dathomir at the end of the book. Nightsister Magic has resurrected people before, so I think it's plausible that she's actually alive

I am rather skeptical that Vintress would want the sith sabers back, they were given to her by Dooku, who she now despises. They would also likely be hard to get as Anakin turned them over to the tribunal as evidence, so likely one way or another, they likely ended up in Sheev's hands. More likely she just made her own handle for her saber, that suited her style.

In Legends or EU or Expanded Universe or LV Asajj was way more then just a throwaway character note Dooku Nor Sidious saw her as a true sith but saw her as a valuable assassin although a inferior one to Grievous And Maul with Grievous in terms of physical abilities and saber combat and with Maul with unarmed combat, force use, and physical attributes and probably blade mastery as well but still Asajj boasted a well rounded track record in certain sitiuations where she had lots of prep time and environmental advantages like her fights against Anakin, Obi Wan, and even Mace the latter because she had the atmosphere giving her the edge yet Mace still would of beat her had the fight continued and she did not use a distraction to escape but still her origin story was more well spotted and markered compared to her Disney and or Canon selfs yeah.

See, this is why I can't take current SW content seriously anymore. If everyone keeps coming back from the dead, then what's the point of worrying about a character's safety?? There's no stakes. No tension. Two things that make stories go round. Abusing the resurrection trope is a bad habit and a telling sign the writers r out of ideas. It needs to stop. And besides, It's THEIR fault the sequel trilogy sucked and Mary Rey Sue was universally rejected by the fans. Let's not forget how poorly the Lucasfilm execs have treated the fan base with Iger and Kennedy constantly telling us to "sit down and shut up" like we're a bunch of noisy children and accept their obvious push of DEI and The Message in future SW content.

Here's a thought. If the theory from ahsoka is true where the ones are passing the baton, what if ventress is the son 2.0? Given they may be rewriting Ray Stevenson's roll and he was theorized to fill that roll, it's unfortunately easy to throw her into that roll if they don't keep his story the day. Only way I can think this would make sense though is with some necessary force related revival, how she's revived doesn't 100% matter imo, just as long as she's back

Being a Nightsister of Dathomir and the way she was buried at the end of Dark Disciple, her resurrection seems... less cheap than a lot of the other "actually, they didn't die like we thought" situations. BUT... Star Wars has worked itself into a corner where they have said "actually, this character didn't die as previously suggested" far too many times, and if nobody ever dies, there are no stakes. So even though Ventress being alive probably makes more sense than the other characters, I'm over it.

What exactly makes you believe, Marrok was resurrected? He does not act like a zombie, the dust that gets out of thim looks nothing like the bright green spirit ichor and the sound it makes is also different from the sound of Nightsister magick. That doesn't mean that it is not Nightsister magick but it means that we don't know for sure until official confirmation. Until then, it is also possible, Marroks creepy death has different reasons, maybe the reason lies within his species. Just don't forget, he's not the first Inquisitor that turned into nothing after Ahsoka killed him. Nightsister magick is ONE explaination, a very vage one at that, keeping in mind we've never heard of a resurrection ritual, that actually gives life instead of just reanimating a dead body, before.

Makes total sense to bring in such a character with the story arc Disney is following. I have a feeling we'll see Ventress resurrected like the entire hold of the trans-galactic Star Destroyer who's made a full deposit on Dathomir. First she'll be re-infused with dark force magic, then gradually will turn it over in Ashoka Season 3 to her true balanced self.

The book takes place after Quinn Lon and obi wan tries to get Cade bane and clearly dooku dies so her death is before anakin change to Vader it would make the book legends or even make it nothing if they bring her back

I am excited for season 3, but Asajj being revived by night sister’s magic, don’t buy it. Yes they can revive the dead, we saw it already on the animated series and Ahsoka, but they didn’t revive as fully sentient beings, more like zombie style, and Asajj looks pretty much alive.
