Seeing HR solo in 1986 forever changed my life. The spiritual presence within the performance was something I had not ever experienced and have been searching for since. That night I choose my profession to aspire to be an artist. I saw HR live two weeks ago. He was healthy, present, vibrant, and blessed the audience with Jah love. Playing all Rasta vibrations from I and I survive, l luv a jah, the youth are getting restless, happy birthday my son, our faith, and youthman sufferer with precision and emotional content. He is no more different than anyone else trying to reconcile the Angel and Devil in all people. Blessings and forever big love for bad brains and HR.

Both of those LPs inspired a lot of kids all over New York to get bands going. I'm a big fan of Glassjaw outta Long Island. They we're very inspired by Quickness. Gary, Daryl, and Earl are all extremely talented self taught musicans. And before HR got sick.. Man a dare you to find me a frontman that had even HALF of the talent and excitement flowed through that dude. When people say rock god, they should look in the dictionary and a picture of HR should be their circa mid 80s/early 90s
