The first album question was misrepresented...Neil was describing the artwork for the ROIR sessions but was talking about the Black Dots recording in June of 1979 at Inner Ear Studio with Don Zientara. H.R. was recording vocals for the session in Don's backyard and his son can be heard talking to H.R. on the recording. That recording was finally released in 1996 at the behest of Ian MacKaye and has since been reissued on vinyl too. Tied with the Germs' G.I. as the first album recorded in the hardcore genre

Great to see this interview. One thing, the recording in the house was actually done by Don in D.C., the one they are referring to the album "Bad Brains" or the "Roar Cassette", was done in NY by the man referring to as Jerry, aka J Dublee, Jerry Williams, R.I.P.. Otherwise great clip.

Truly an inspiration to so many people philosophically, through his Throat and Lyrics to his Back ups musical talent creating the Punk/ Reggae platform . Propelling them to a realm they could call their own. Its great to see that he is still thriving and persevering through the Great life he has carved out for him self and The Brains 🧠's. Putting bad habits aside and starting positive ones with a conscious diet that leads to good living . So many talented musicians went down dark paths and never resurfaced to recall and plan ahead to enjoy what they took part in creating ! Jah Blesses those who listen ! Rasta !

🎨 Perfection is a Process of Perpetual Improvements... The earnestness of our intentions determines the effectiveness of our appeals to the universal bestower located in the heart of all creation... The key to unlimited abundance is honest open communication... Thanks again yawl for keeping thee ideal --- real ! There is such a thing as self-determination and free-will for good reason. How can we possibly be free if we worry too much about what others may think when we try to do our earnest best with whatever divinely bestowed gifts we've been given to help inspire others with ? so FEEL FREE TO FREEK OUT !!! (in which ever particular fashion floats yer boat) Yet Keep in mind that it certainly does help having outside help and feedback deciding what would be in thee best interest --- not just for ourselves, but for every ONE and ALL of us... Don't throw baby G-ZEUS out with the filthy poi-zion polluted Roman Empire Bath water ! Jesus didn't come to save the righteous (their fate is already golden) --- but rather to instruct our 'wicked' (yet to be enlightened) not-see flunky bretheren who oppose themselves. Let's even Love our 'frienemies' ! (incite --- INSIGHT !) Saving souls is of vital importance now --- and even us free thinking 'goats' best try to not leave any of the misguided sheep flock behind . We are in him . He is in us . Every living being is a part of the larger organism known as God. No one can be truly happy until we all are . . . truly redeemed ! We best not let anyone try to scare or finagle the friggin Be-Jesus outta any of us heavenly endowed earthly beloved brethren flesh encapsulated holy spirits ! So Instruct those that oppose our true higher selves : Goodness graciousness ! Yeah Way ! The principals for all true belief systems ARE essentially the same Good Orderly Directions a.k.a. GOD Wow --- far out ! And down to earth . Now everything makes more perfect sense ! Thanks for thee head's-up yawl ! however Talk about corruption ! The blood of Jesus is not a blank check to do nothing or be like 'whatever'. Don't just sit there neutralized by blissful ignorance ! "Beware of the genetic-molesting 'leaven' (artificial sugar-coated lie bull HOOKS) of the so-called 'authorities' and scribes trying to sell us all out to the highest bidders." Actually jesus flipped out on the diabolical barbaric practice of selling innocent critters to be kosher slaughtered on the altar in the temple --- as a bogus way for schmuck human-cattle to have their other so-called 'sins' forgiven. Yet the original sin was simply being schmuck enough - to heed the elder-usurer's bad ad-vice: to eat the forbidden 'fruit' eggs and innocent critters like snakes do . (suffering causes suffering) (in a vicious-cycle chain-reaction snake-loop ) Eating innocent critters is very bad karma indeed . thank goodness jesus stuck his own neck out to remind us that forgiveness depends on how we treat even the least of our bretheren ... (if you wanna make a truly meanigfull sacrifice try cutting-out yer lust for meat) (How would you like it if nobody cared enough to help you get out of the death-trap pits and snares ?) Man wouldn't it be great if someone else would die so that nobody would ever be held accountable for any sins anymore ? --- sure looks like spreading the other cheek further for the pedophile preistclass to rape everything more easily is backfiring big time ... Too bad --- Easy believers make it way too easy for the great deceivers... The last thing jesus wants to see when he returns with a serious vengence is a another death worshipping meat-cult double-cross... B-Less schmuckered yawl ! we best not let anyone try to scare the friggin Be-jesus outta any of us ! even Greater works than these kinda ones like our prince of peace performs super naturally through us faithfull free radical followers --- shall become the new normal ... Become the type of light worker you want to see in this world ... Like the good shepherd likes to say : "my joke is sweet --- and my burden is LIGHT !" for every step in the right direction we take --- the sun of god takes ten more for us ... get ready for G--ZEUS to return outta the clouds with a batta-Lion of starships (and sun dragons) armed to the teeth --- while the vast army of murdalized martyrs and resurrected saints go marching in with a seriously hilarious vengeance ! --- Leaving No ( peace, happiness, and freedom loving ) 'stoner-truther' left unturned into a hero of sorts ... Thank goodness for thee Divine down to earth Principals of : Peace --- kindness Purity --- integrity Ballance --- mindfullness Patience --- trust Strength --- will power Generosity --- forgiveness Encouragement --- joy Wonder --- insight and Enlightenment --- upliftment ... (strive to embody these virtues to relay and circulate the message across the continuous spectrum of comlimentary vibratory sensibilities) Anyhow --- Less B-Less-ing and More Best-owing to all yawl ! in all ways remember to stay thankfull and Ask thee GREAT spirit And THEE MOST HIGH intelligent designer located in the heart of all creation for guidance on how we can redeem ourselves most effectively --- rather than merely sit around aimlessly waiting for great pumpkin pie lies in the sky to save us ... So take heed --- and hold fast because the cosmic-director don't take too kindly to procrastinating i - do - laters who delay helping themselves realize how to instruct those that oppose themselves from being more brilliantly redeemed and grateful than ever before ... Muchos Grassyass ! And Goddesspeed ! ... (Schumann resonance solar flare activity has been off the charts lately) Sure Looks to me Like Empirical evidence of the thee Most High --- blasting out brilliant freedom rock riffs on rainbow coloured guitar strings ! (Guess we'll just have to wait until it dawns on ALL of us !) Lighten up ! And stay positive yet vigilant... And again yawl --- thanks for helping to keep the ideal --- real ! HR has always been a legendary entertainer and has produced some magnificent music. One thing I will never understand though is why the punk movement gives the Bad Brains a free ride when they talk about god, the bible, Haile Selassie being the second coming of Jesus Christ and so on. It is very rarely challenged or debated. It is possible to discuss this matter without causing offense - indeed it's imperative to do so. There is not one scintilla of evidence to support any of these unsubstantiated religious 'outpourings' . If god intervented to get HR's van down off the mountain safely, where was this god when Josef Fritzl was imprisoning, torturing and abusing his daughters for years on end? Where was this god when people were throwing themselves out of windows of the World Trade Centre? Where was this god when Ethiopians were starving to death during the drought of 1984? Haile Selassie fled an Italian invasion and sought sanctuary in England - am I the only one who thinks that this action alone should be enough for any rational person to doubt his divine powers. King of Kings? Lord of Lords? Hail His Imperial Majesty? No thanks. NO GODS. NO MASTERS.
