Yes, he waits until everyone has slammed the pitches and effectively closed the doors, then offers a single inflated percentage. A bit like if you were on eBay and there were five of the same item and you'd missed 4 of them and you have your last chance, you're more likely to pay over the odds for it, so there's more of a chance they will take Touker's inflated "buy-out" offers.

Really for what they were asking it is a peanuts investment for any dragon-especially at nearly a third of the company-they seem to be doing pretty well & likely he has already made his investment back with interest. The fact they had no debt, had invested their own money, were willing to keep doing so & still had some in the bank swung it. Surprised that Sarah declared herself out so early.

Follow-up: 1. Touker Suleyman entered BAD brownie as shareholder in 9/3/2016; 2. He became a Director on 10/02/2017; 3. He ceased to be a Director on 21/06/2020; 4. He sold his shares in BAD Brownie on 12/08/2020; 5. They opened a shop in Canary Wharf in 2019, they closed it in 2020 (?); 6. In the meantime the company grew prominently online; 7. According to their latest accounts they went from £47K profit in 2018 and £80K in 2019 to more than £700K in 2020 (it seems COVID was good for business).

Another brilliant idea by Peter tho, renting space in other boutique food stores actually makes much more sense over opening up an own store in a very expensive area. 1 it is cheaper and 2 there is already a customer base that will see your product. For the price they would pay if they opened their own store they can display and sell their product in a lot of other stores and reach a lot more people.
