Thank you for this clip. Proud owner here. Every other KZbin clip of this amp sounds shrill and thin. Whatever room mic you are using demonstrates what this amp actually sounds like.

thanks for sharing this, compare to fender deluxe reverb reissue, what is the difference? And also does this amp break up easily?

This is hand wired point to point amp, uses a custom UK made Celestion speaker, a very well made birch plywood cabinet, and very high quality custom components (transformers, caps, resistors, etc.). This is a streamlined single channel, sans tremolo (Fender's "vibrato") circuit with an unbelievable reverb. Fender's reissue is built to provide Fender fans a way to buy a new amp from Fender that resembles the classic amp from the '60s. It's built to a price point to ensure maximum sales velocity and substantial profits for Fender. They happened to make a decent sounding amp in the process of building a new SKU. Bad Cat built an amp to a standard of quality in materials, workmanship, and most importantly, tone. Once they built the amp, they figured out how much they could sell it for and then made a very limited number of them. This amp exists for an entirely different set of reasons than the Fender reissue and is an heirloom-quality amp that will last several players' lifetimes (not unlike the original '60s Deluxe Reverbs). This amp has excellent clean headroom and doesn't break up very much on its own. It does get dirty at the top edge of the volume range, depending on attack, string gauge, pickups, etc. but that is not the most useful way to use the amp, IMO. I think the Siamese Drive in this video played very well with the amp.

Killerburst Guitars Thanks a lot for the detailed reply, the bad cat site states that this amp is blackface circuit, so would you say this amp is a upgrade version of fender blackface? People say this amp is fenderish sound, right?

Definitely in the blackface vein. The build/tone quality is exceptional. Hard to describe the differences in writing, but it should bring a smile to any fan of '60s Fender amp tones.
