I live in St Louis county near busy highways and walk almost everywhere. I've lost track of how many times cars running red lights have almost hit me. They don't even slow down and often actually speed up before entering the intersection, totally oblivious to pedestrians. I don't have a car and enjoy walking but sometimes I feel like I am putting my life at risk.
