I have to say it again that you are the Best because you are Talented, Lucid, Honest and this is literally a preview, I couldn't find any details about this Korg which I almost bought because it was looking like something for the Live Acts. But Quality of Build is maybe the most important thing to know. Everything is Bad Gear and it depends on us what and how we will use, handle and make it look and it's looked like potential for improvisation and playing hours of existing Music. Maybe it's possible because impossible can be done but Marketing is Hype EPP . Economic Propaganda Program. It would be easier if they have said for who is this Made. FX unit but can do some stretching and puzzling Way of using it is too much 😂 but if I have bought it I would try to get most out of it. Bad Gear is the Best. Fully warranted as well. As a KP3 lover, all they had to do to sell me one was make the loop time 60 secs (instead on 12.9), add some cool new FX, trade in RCAs for 1/4 inch, and maybe find a way to stack FX. Just call it the KP4 and charge $500. The simplicity is what makes Kaoss pads great. Seems like they forgot that. There was never any reason to go up against the SP-404 and MPC series. This reaks of c-level executives with no music making experience trying to force profits.
@PhilanderingBastard2 ай бұрын
@@BlasphemousButler it’s even more insane since the NTS-3, which goes for 1/7th the price can stack 4 effects.
@AaronAlso2 ай бұрын
@BlasphemousButler Yeah, I agree. I would have liked something like the nu:tekt NTS-3 Khaos Pad in the old school KP form factor with better sampling/looping features. The open source nature of the NTS-3 FX engine is a great feature that will make it useful for many years. I think a better targeted market would have been the 1010music box series. They could have made a Khaos Box of sorts and scored a solid foot hold in the market.

The original red Kaoss Pad and yellow Kaossilator were really cool little stripped down devices. Sadly, every other device after them in the lineage has utterly failed to recapture what was great about them.

Wow, I think this is the first time I've actually seen Pilz angry at a piece of gear! Oh well, at least I've got the NTS-3 (or rather I don't have an NTS-3, but at least I can daydream about having one).

Burned. Love it. I had similar thoughts about special K. In New Zealand this unit retails for $1800NZD which is just stupid.

Wow, yeah.... Korg - find the innovators again, like you did a decade+ ago. Don't lose your way. We need a decent Japanese Roland-offsetter! "I am the Upsetter!" Lee Scratch Perry...

The Kaoss we actually asked for they're making us build ourselves! 😱 MPC 3 and 404 mkII totally blow away this joke of a product. My wallet says 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Great video as ever BTW👍

The hardware does tick all the boxes to become a real top-notch effects machine… but yes #Korg has to reflect, rethink and (re)build a ‘second’ software version / device mode for it, that’s focused on what one should expect from a Kaoss Pad type of device. An advanced FX-processor and Looper for live performances. Also the sequencer should be aimed at serving complex effects, more like an Elektron (Analog) Heat +FX but with a step sequencer including parameter locking and envelop followers. The Octatrack is also used for these kind of purposes, but this Kaoss Pad could have it all right from the start… no workarounds needed.

True that!

@@AudioPilz yes, at this point I really don’t understand ProdDev and BizDev at #Korg… trying to position a device -based on it’s software features- in the same ballpark as an #MPCOne or #SP404mk2, but double the price. Of course they can keep on trying, but with a separate ‘device mode’ purely for FX and FX automation (MIDI and/or Envelope Follower) would give it a real USP.
