One of my favorite moments on a talk show, took place on Rickie Lake. She had like six or seven people on stage, that were all sleeping with each other, in one way or another. Rickie then says, something along the lines of, " Now coming to the stage is someone with a unique perspective, and insight on all of this. Please welcome back, Coffee." This really attractive, young, African American gentleman comes out, and the crowd goes nuts. He then says, "This whole situation is just ridiculous." He then gets up, walks down the line of guests, and basically calls each one a "Ho". The people on stage are furious, and all start yelling, "You don't know me. You don't know me.", over and over. To which Coffee responds, "Yeah, and you don't know me!!" Turns out Coffee didn't know ANY of them, and was just a former guest, but A LOT of women wrote into the show saying how gorgeous he was, so Rickie Lake would bring him on whenever she could, just so he could get air time. And the extent of his deep insight into every topic was, "This whole situation is ridiculous." I know I'm not doing the absurdity of his numerous appearances justice, but my mom and I still laugh about it, 15 or 20 years later. I've looked for clips before, but haven't been able to find the right one, and this sketch just made me think of it.
