I would call them protectors. To not call a veteran a protector shows you've never been under fire or in the shit, that's not a bad thing at all but once you've been in that situation..you'd do anything to protect your buddies. I remember a story about some Lt who lie down on top of a wounded man to cover him until medevac arrived. A firefight is loud af, your senses get all tweaked out and I can't blame some guys for breaking especially when its an ambush or you dont suspect it. Incoming is scary as hell all youve got are your buddies, your friends you live with, eat with, shit with and could die with. Put it simple, if you ain't there you can't understand. I'd say every vet is a protector first and foremost no matter what they've done before. War can turn good men terrible, and can make others better. God bless them

@jayr75774 жыл бұрын
Well I think there's a lot to take away from it. Number one is that people need to reimagine their picture of what a criminal looks like. This scene causes you to question it. You see these big biker dudes. Tattoos, bikes, leather vests. You are conditioned to believe they are bad guys, slackers, and that somehow this is optics; that the real good guys are the guys in suits with their hair combed to the side. The reality and fact is these are strong, strong, family men with a deep sense of humanity. When that guy said there goes my 600 bucks, you saw raw emotion there in response. The sad reality is there are kids viewed like that by their parents, but thank god there are men like this guy who will stand up to other men, look them dead in the eye, and tell them no; who will tell them good men will not stand idly by and watch this happen to any child. Remember, man was the group that sent millions into the gas chambers, but man was also the person holding the hand of another and reciting the lord's prayer as they walked in. Men are capable of good and evil, and these men are a beacon of hope and real strength.

I remember seeing this in the theater and this scene in particular was so emotional to me because it reminded me of my parents, it actually made me forget that the whole thing was scripted.

Kudos to the guy who played Billy's dad. Real balls to act like a total douche bag in a bar full of bikers that care about kids.

Most bikers are pretty chill. They just wanna ride and enjoy the camaraderie that a club offers, they got families and jobs to get back to dudes are upstanding citizens that just enjoy the life style. That being said I think it's important to emphasize that not all clubs are like that if you try to pull something like that with a 1%er club you are not leaving the bar in one piece like at 7:19 if this happened with the wrong club that dude would have been stabbed in the back right then and there.

Moments like 3:40 make me nervous because I know Johnny Knoxville cares nothing about how nice or well-intentioned that guy is. I mean he didn't really make the guy his mark in this case, but I know he would ruthlessly do so if he saw the opportunity. Knoxville and Sacha Baron Cohen are my two favorite comedic actors, but sometimes I honestly believe they're true sociopaths.
