Talk about surprises, a couple of years ago I was fishing a little snapper hole just off the jetty on the west side of Perdido Pass with shrimp. I hooked a Tarpon about 6 feet long. What a rush! He headed toward the Flora-Bama and ended up wrapping the line around a piece of pipe in about 7 feet of water. I thought I was Earnest Hemmingway for about 20 minutes. My kids nicknamed me "Tarpon King" after the famous ABBA song. Thanks for your videos.

If you can keep it outta the sand, bluefish makes pretty good sashimi, with some wasabi stirred into a small dish of tamari. Always great to see you two little burglars together, but when Brant gets his fishing bike, make sure it comes with training wheels...so we won't worry so much

I caught a Black Drum larger than that one a few weeks ago in Perdido Pass right up against the seawall on an incoming tide around midnight on a piece of shrimp no larger than a dime. That was a blast!

Dude that coquina fish bites works amazing! Dude everything comes at it. Ive caught from grunts AmberJack ,Pompano, and massive Reds, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Flounder, parrotfish, and even unbelievably a 14" Hogfish .I ordered 2 more! It's a fish magnet bait. That should be a #1 big selling fishbites! There something about that recipe that really make fish go crazy over it! Haha Brant dug himself in the sand for nothing!

Hey Bama. When using cut bait is it best to use a wire leader to protect the line against toothy critters? I was curious if wire leader would scare off fish like reds and such.

I really like your channel ! I caught a thirty six inch jack trevail out an San Louis pass a few years back. It was actually about a mile and a half East of the pass. You talk about a fight. I get string back and he would take it again. It was a good catch for sure. I also caught a thirty eight inch red in about a foot of water or less one moon lit night. No kidding. I drop a cut bait in water just deep enough to get my feet wet right in the beach. Thirty minutes later had a good one. My brother said to me that he had read that redz liked shallow water. I was bei g a smart ass and walk to the surf and dropped it in water that was about six inches deep with an incoming tide ! A few minutes later had a good red. A bit over three feet long. Nice red for sure !! True story.
