Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy is the true sequel to Return of the Jedi but Gilroy's contributions were all before A New Hope so keep them, scrap everything else, and then move to the ORIGINAL Thrawn Trilogy, not whatever Zahn and Fuckloni are doing with him now.

3:45- I imagine the reason is is becasue with a movie, they have to comit to spend additional money marketing it, in order for the theatres to give them screens. If they feel the movie will flop anyway it will at least save the marketing costs by dumping it on disney+ as a show. Also, there is a risk if a movie flops the theatres will want a higher % for a studios next film, as a make good for the theatre having empty screens o.

Don't really care about the Mando Grogu film, but I hope it cashes out because I would like to have some version of Heir to the Empire, specially if that brings closure and meaning to Ahsoka, Baylan Skoll, Luke and Thrawn. Don't much care if it is a tv show or a movie, just as long as it is better written than Mando 3 and Ahsoka 1. Besides that, I would love more Andor. Thus far my Star Wars is the first 2 trilogies, Rogue One and Andor, Clone Wars, Rebels, Mando and Ahsoka (these last 2 only if they stick the landing going foward. If Not, it ends for me in Mando 2).

And why would they overexpose themselves constantly instead of staying in hiding from the empire?! It’s completely ridiculous. Sidious literally has an entire division dedicated to finding force users who are around after order 66 and yet there’s a bunch of Jedis going around helping the rebellion and beating Darth Vader in lightsaber fights making him look like a fool and not keeping his intimidation factor. And the Inquisitors are incompetent bozos who are easily defeated by low power Jedis and are the equivalent to mini bosses rather than full on bosses. It’s like if the Ring Wraiths were easily disposable in Lord of the Rings and weren’t present the entire trilogy and instead were killed off the first movie. Stormtroopers are more useful at killing Jedis than Inquisitors. There’s no point in having an inquisition program if you’re not good at fighting against the enemies of your emperor and his apprentice. Those inquisitors and purge troopers are a waste on investment. And Darth Vader himself not being capable himself is more embarrassing because he’s a Sith Lord. A SITH LORD! A barely trained Jedi shouldn’t have the chance to escape even once. A kids show like Rebels shouldn’t have that bad quality of writing and still needs better ways for your protagonists to survive than narrowly escaping a Sith like Vader. So stupid. Plot armor is a Omni presence in Disney Star Wars. There needs to be stakes and better reasons for characters to escape normally inescapable situations. I’m done ranting. You get my point.

I don't care at all to be honest, the Force awakens was the last Star wars project I watched from beginning to end and if I could I would erase that memory from my consciousness... I have only since watched parts of episodes from the different series that they've done and those have primarily been the parts with returning characters of old because I wanted to see them on screen again and I do genuinely like and support Gina Carano so I watched her episodes other than that I don't care in the slightest...

Filoni did some great work on Star Wars Clone wars now and then no doubt but I always kinda felt Genndy Tartakovsy understood SW a bit better... Filoni was heralded as this second coming of Lucas but when you actually look at his contributions in terms of characters or ideas it's actually very poor compared to the Expanded Universe or vast amount of material he had to work with imo... The introduction of the 'world between worlds' in Rebels was the moment I realised this was utter garbage...

Honestly Lucasfilm needs to get more successes before they do something like a feature length film. Because Lucasfilm doesn't have a ton of that as of late I would say you either need some made for tv specials just over an hour plus and maybe even see how Asokue season 2 does. Because while Skeleton Crew will probably build its audience over time everything else minus Mandalorian has really hurt Lucasfilm over. Most audiences have moved on so you need to build that audience go will back, the easiest way to do that small projects that you could pump out for less money, they should even consider animation shorts like the well do Star Wars Tie Fighter.

disney star wars has made many mistakes & one was canonizing 'the clone wars'. it's what allows for something like this, a movie with rotta (or "stinky") the hutt & embo, characters nobody really cared about. would have preferred a season 4 that made up for the mistakes made in season 3 & book of boba, but it's clear that what originally started as a vision of favreau (with filoni) early on in the series has become almost entirely filoni's vision. and on sigourney weaver's character, i'm thinking she is related to Carl Weathers' character (Greef Karga). As he died (in real life) they surely came up with a way to continue his story, and maybe Sigourney is part of that. otherwise i don't get the mystery around Weaver's character, esp as they are willing to spoil the supposed main villain & the general story
