As melodic and spot on as he can be with his vocals and then flip a switch like that to hit the super low growls or high screams. Its flat out amazing. He's a super talented dude!

When I first heard this son I straight away made connection with Chester, the line “if you need a place to hang your head” is one of them but also “you’d be a better memory alive rather than not” I think references “Leave Out All The Rest” where in the choruses Chester sings “And when you’re feeling empty, keep me in your memory leave out all the rest”. Also Noas vocal delivery in the last part screaming “I’m not giving up” is very similar to Chester’s screams, so those three things had me go… It has to be about Chester no way it’s accidental.

The fact that this song was written after Chester hanged himself does not necessarily mean that it is only about Chester's suicide. Personally, I think this song can relate to anyone who has a wish to end their life with a noose around their neck.

Any song from this album is a masterpiece. This is where their sound really became their own and it only got better with The Death of Peace of Mind. I'd also highly recommend Burning Out, Kingdom of Cards and Never Know. The unplugged (acoustic) versions are worth a listen too.

I discovered Bad Omens last year through this song as it was used as a song on the Paradise City TV series (which is the continuation of the American Satan movie, if you have seen either, they are a must watch and both have Amazing soundtracks!!) Sadly, the actor who was the singer in the TV show passed away from a medical condition. So it is doubly sad with that in mind. Still an Amazing band!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
