They aren’t like regular couples who break up and never have to see each other again. They were at all the same parties, have tons of mutual friends. If they had a mutual breakup without a major scandal and they are both adults living in the same bubble as they are, why can’t they still get along great? Their had to be a good friendship underneath to last 3-4 years together. Break up means you stop being monogamous with that person. Doesn't mean you can’t still deeply care for them and respect the time you spent together.

Am I the only one who thinks that the two of them were never in a real relationship? I remember multiple rumors that it was PR for both of them and that they both benefited from it. I look at them and they seem like friends, I never saw love or passion and even when they broke up it didn't seem like a problem, everything was perfectly normal. I'm not sure they were ever a real couple and it wouldn't be a scandal because Hollywood is full of fake couples.

​​@@ritax8196In my personal opinion Justin and Britney could never be friends because they really loved each other and they were both proud and stubborn! At some point they started hurting each other because each wanted to prove to the other that they were happy on their own. They were 20 years old and they behaved very stupidly, even when they started showing up in public with other people to make the other jealous. But even as adults they always made sure to avoid each other when they happened to be at the same event. I remember on a couple of occasions at least that they avoided each other: like in 2007, 2013 and 2016. It sounds crazy because they were friends for so long as kids and their families knew each other. When they broke up they created drama and things got out of hand. I don't think they hate each other but I can no longer imagine a situation where they talk to each other as friends, as we saw after the uproar over Britney's book their past is still news. *Sorry for my English 😅
