Hey there. I have been hearing this sound a few months now. It sounds like from driver side, i changed wheel bearing and the sound has persisted anyway. The noise is clearly on driver side tho

Hey! Good question. Did you watch my full length bearing diagnosis video by chance? Most times the wheel bearing noise "drones" through the metal body and frame of the car making location of the sound extremely misleading. So I do the "shake and spin" and then make sure to compare at all 4 wheel sounds. Many times I find a second bearing bad but it's masked and undetectable by the loudest bad bearing. Or sometimes I find a second one that is silent but loose, a phantom bad wheel bearing. Very dangerous. Anyways watch the video. Jeez i changed my driver side bearing 2 months ago and still hearing noise but not as intense... i guess i had two bad bearings.... i gotta replace hopefully this weekend.

Nice work! That is somewhat common to have 2 bad. The first one will often be louder and mask the second one that is bad.

Is the sound constant at any speed? I have a similar sound but only between 25 & 37mph then it goes away once I pass 40mph.

All bearings' sound, sound pitch, and speed, vary a bit based on bearing characteristics like design, quality, and vehicle configuration and weight. But they are all somewhat similar. It sounds to me very likely you have a wheel bearing bad based on your description. You could start at your tires and make sure they are good. Feel the treads for smoothness. Check inside and outside sidewalls. Check air pressure. Just some easy checks to start with 😀

stethoscope. A chassis ear is best to diagnose though. Chassis ears can easily replicate speed and load while driving and pinpoint the bad bearings. Links for tools in the description 😃🔧

No this one wasn't shaking but was making noise while driving. Wheel bearings that are bad can present as nothing sometimes and be really dangerous. Anytime you hear or feel something wrong with your car it is always best to check it out right away.

Sometimes yes. If you hear any abnormal noise in your car get it tracked down and sorted out immediately. When wheel bearings fail completely from being ignored it can be really catastrophic.

It's usually there at all speeds if a bearing goes bad. Usually it's easier to hear at different speeds though depending on wind factors, road condition, tire condition, etc. Here is a full length video. I feel you there. Probably no good way to save money on a bearing other than bearing quality. I would just replace it. It probably has served its dirty for a while and sometimes they just go bad.
