John Wan I don't know, there's so many badass women in geek culture... Arya, Brienne and Ygritte from GoT, Kate Becket in Castle, pretty much every clones in Orphan Black, Bo Dennis in Lost Girl, Buffy and Xena, they were pretty much the 2 first badass women, their actresses should be there, And Myka, Claudia and H.G. from Warehouse 13, Jo from Eureka... And those are just from the top of my head! They can always bring in different badass women every year and keep it fresh! :) Althought Ming-Na ''Melinda May'' Wen should always be there! :) Her character is the female Chuck Norris (not kidding: Look up ''#Mayisms'' on Twitter! ^_^)

I am a big Oncer fan, I just wish they asked more "Once Upon a Time" questions directed towards Jennifer Morrison because it's one of the few shows on prime time that is female dominated. I love how the show is pushing the boundaries with the Disney princess archetype and the story lines are centered on the female protagonist.

I only watched this panel for Ming-Na Wen, but i'm so glad I did. It was wonderful having these women talk about struggles they've had to overcome, whether that's as a female or specifically for Ming and Retta as women of colour, I sobbed when the asian women addressed Ming with her question about representation, and why it's so important. The panel for any future panels is so high.

Yvonne hasn't got ANY makeup on & her hairs not done yet she's STILL just so naturally beautiful & has a stunning figure. First, NerdHQ is my favorite part of the entire con year, by far. Second, I'd love to see them do more panels like this next year. Focus more on women. Because even though Sophie is right and the future is bright for women as leads, all it takes is the focus to slip off them for a little bit and suddenly the Hollywood suits, who are predominantly men, will shift right back to what they've believed for decades.

@winchestboyzarehot10 жыл бұрын
Lol! Instead of bashing my list, why don't you come up with your own? If by diverse, you mean racially, well that just goes to show how effed up Hollywood is because of the scarcity of ethnic female badasses. And BTW, I chose those actresses based on their ROLES not their race. Now if SMG were available, I would've added her, but Buffy's not a "relevant" show today, so yeah. If Zoe Saldana can make it or Danai Gurira, then yay. For now, please fuck off.
@trinenewstad240710 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't want all white girls either. What karabella does not probably know is that Nerd HQ is Zac Levi's baby, most of the guests are there because they're his friends. I'd expect Yvonne Strahovski will return if available, she's the #1 Nerd HQ crowd favorite for obvious reasons.

As soon as she said that her father was a minister, I was like, "Oh, now it makes total sense!" Pastor's kids (specifically the ones that stick to the straight and narrow and don't rebel against their family) frequently have chips on their shoulders and an elevated sense of entitlement. Since my own father is a former minister, I got to witness this kind of thing in my older siblings, as well as many family friends, who grew up in that environment.
