Beautiful playing. Without the distortion the chords almost sound like a medieval madrigal. Lovely.

@KoryBanhagel Awesome Korey! For me it was Gamma opener, UFO second up, and Blue Oyster Cult was the headliner...that was 1977 in Seattle at the Heck Edmonds Pavillion (where the Washington Huskies play basketball), I thought Michael Schenker stole the show! The funny thing about that show was during the intermission between bands.There was some background music cranked up, and these incredible blues jams and rock were just playing, and I asked my brother, 'who the hell is that?' Well, these 2 guys were sitting behind us overheard. And they were from LA and the one guy says,' it's a brand new club band thats just out of LA called Van Halen. They played Running with the Devil, Eruption and You Really Got Me... the people's jaws just dropped it was so incredible. So the next day I went to the music store and they only had one copy (an 8-track at that!) of Van Halen's first album. Van Halen at this had never been played on the radio at all. So I played it that night at a huge outdoor kegger, and they played it on their monstrous sound system non-stop all night long. It was glorious, I had to tell how Id heard about this band a hundred times...I was the Rock hero! lol... Well, a week or two later it was all over the radio, my secret band was taken from me, like the Cavern Club losing the Beatles when they got big, never to return... Anyway, thanks, my friend for the wayback! I haven't thought of that for many years, it was fun memoriy sharing...Rock On!!!

Love the video, but as a die-hard Schenker fan I have to say, my soul turned inside out when you said "rhythm guitar" and then later "lead guitar"
@TJ_CrayonBeltFeeder Жыл бұрын
Haha. That’s like saying Stevie Ray or Ritchie Blackmore had a rhythm guitarist. Lol

I gotta say that the whistling solo over classical guitar is actually kind of cool for this tune.
@Badaxemikee7 жыл бұрын
Yes but if you listen to the studio album he's definitely double tracking or the keyboard player is playing rhythm guitar

You're missing the 3rd chord of the verse.. After the E, it goes to a B/F#... At least the first time through the verse.. Try it - it will make sense when you play it... 22444

how are you playing so fast at 3:43 are you alternate picking while hammering on?
@KingCrofty7 жыл бұрын
I suppose it depends on what you learnt first on the guitar, i learnt to play some pretty quick iron maiden song's (Dave Murray's parts) so after a couple months of learning I could play at roughly a similar speed to what he did in the video.
