Wish it wasn't so far away! When I was a child, my parents had one that was a 4 door, but it was loaded! It had a/c, p/s, p/b, electric power antenna, wunderbar radio with a button on the floor that would scan the channels, power seats and power windows. Most people don't believe me when I tell them all the option's it had and how great it rode. Only problem it had was it ran hot sometimes with the a/c on.

I really like your videos Chad. It’s nice to see a real builder. One thing I noticed is the respect you have for someone else’s vehicle. You can tell a true car guy by the way they keep their hands off the vehicle until the owner is present. Keep doing what you’re doing, great passion and great builds!

I noticed the same thing. Got to love the respect for other people's stuff and the "hands off" approach. Class !

Hi Chad & Jolene thank you for taking us along for the ride it was fun! I agree with not purchasing the car. You would need an engine rebuld immediately. Also one has to wonder if the wheel openings were glassed or bondoed to make them look better or if the 1/4 panels have been repaired. I like the older cars but, I am more a 60's muscle car type. I liked the Chevelle but it was rough and the original front seats were gone!

When I saw that ‘56 Chevy, it took me back to my youth - solid red tail lights and Woody the Woodpecker smoking a cigar on the front panels and definitely not green. Thank you for this road trip. Jolene great camera work and “Good Eye”.

Good video Chad & Queen Jolene... The 36 Chevy 4 Door Touring Sedan looked to be in nice original condition, does need proper outside mirrors. The 56 Buick Roadmaster was so-so, still more money to fix that, not a turnkey. The 66 Chevlle was my fave, a bit rough, but interesting to the muscle car guy. They all definitely needed work on them all.

Lots of issues with that Buick Roadmaster. I have had a Buick Special for 38 years, so I know what to look for. Just a replacement steering wheel even if it is a recast is about 400 bucks. An engine rebuild is about 7 to 8 grand. I had my engine rebuilt after it sucked a valve in 2019. The portholes and the bumper and the front bumper guard inserts are also not correct. The rust issues in the doors and the quarter panels and the rockers are pretty typical as well.
@1940limited Жыл бұрын
On the 56 Roadmaster the flap over the driver's window should be down, not sticking out as it is. Notice the right side. Looks as as if this car was hit hard on the left side. The J-bars on the rear bumper ae missing, a common problem as they tended to rust out. The trim over the rear window absolutely should not be fastened with screws. Orange peel in the paint. I'm sure I'd find more if we could look under the hood, inside, trunk, etc. Should have 2" whitewalls. Maybe an OK driver if the price is right.

Th Buick is certainly top of the line with power windows, may have had tinted glass and a padded dash all factory original. Looked like A/C as well. I'm interested in the 56 Chevy, looke like an original 6 cylinder. I couldn't hear much with the traffic so anything he said or that you observed would be appreciated. Have a nice sunny day. Your address looks like Canada. I'm in Rochester, NY USA, not all that far away. The challenge is crossing the border.

The apple-cutter steering wheel on Buicks always bothered me-- and no seatbelts. Strange that the '55-6 Roadmasters were not badged on the sides like the Supers, Centuries and Specials, that is a nice finishing touch as I see it...

that 1956 Buick Roadmaster Riviera needs more work than it's worth, the bodywork & paint alone combined with the $12,500 price will excede what you'd pay for one in Excellent Condition, and that's not including rebuilding the engine and fixing the interior, you'd end up with $50,000 in a car that might bring $35,000

Not a fan of the paint on the Buick, I can see possibly fisheyes or something on the dark blue. Seems like the bodywork wasn't sealed good. Still quite nice but looks like it would have to be repainted. The 56 Chevy is the one I would really look into. It's quite nice as is. Myself I don't care how many doors it has. I'm actually surprised it's 12Gs. I remember when 6Gs was THE most a four door would get. People would just save the headlights and scrap the rest. That one at the end of the video, I don't like the odd screws in the interior. The attention to detail on a newer interior like that is shabby and is what that says. I did upholstery and would never let that go.

The '56 210 Delray is a much better bet as an entry level Tri-five, and easier to live with than the Buick PT73. It's kinda plain, but you can make the Chev exciting. And you'll enjoy it, with a chance later to sell and to upgrade to a Bel-Air! Just see to it that it doesn't have the Achilles Heel Turbo-Glide. If it does, pass on it.

I n otice on many of your videos your sound suffers from wind passing the microphone - wind outside, fans inside etc. to correct this problem use an aerated tape or small foam block taped across the mic placement to avoid. Once recorded you can't fix it with video editing. I'm an Aussie video editor and live in SW France. Cheers hope this helps you out in the future.
