The creators have stated that Azula has more of a role in Season 1. My guess is they expanded on the flashbacks during the storm. Azula was shortly shown during the agni kai but only really played a role in flashbacks during zuko alone. @@pfang32 There are some things that simply need to be changed to fit the live-action format (and I'm okay with that). They did something similar in One Piece where Garp has allooooot more screen time in the series than he did in the first 50-100 episodes from the anime. @BaddMedicine The waves on Katara’s water tribe outfit indicate she is a waterbender. The Triangles / fixed geometry of Sokka’s water tribe outfit indicate he is a non-bender. According to some behind the sceenes each tribe has clothing that indicate bender or non-bender for water, earth and fire. (All airbenders are benders intrinsically).
@biduIgi10 ай бұрын
that's so interesting, where have you read it??
@mythicdolphin10 ай бұрын
@@biduIgi It was a behind the scenes with the producers of the Netflix Avatar the last airbender show on youtube that I found by chance yesterday, as a result of the new trailer dropping. In designing the costumes, the Netflix producer noted that the waves, ripples, swirling water, and patterns of water changing state are found on the clothing of waterbenders like Katara, while non-benders of the water tribe like Sokka have fixed geometries in the patterns of their water tribe clothing. The producer said “…watch for it, even in earth kingdom, and fire nation outfits, benders and non-benders will be indicated by distinguishable clothing patterns connected to the appropriate bending element, or fixed static patterns (I.e. not all fire nation soldiers are firebenders) if one is paying attention.” It is a new aspect/detail that the producers / costume designers added as an Easter Egg. It also helped distinguish on set bending actors/actresses from non-bending actors/actresses to assist in keeping the choreography and appropriate actions consistent for individual scenes. As an example, in the new trailer scene in the earth kingdom, immediately after Aang crashes into the statue, where Katara is next to Sokka who is shown eating a cabbage; Freeze Frame. The differences in the wave pattern on Katara’s clothes versus the triangles / geometrically fixed shapes on Sokka’s clothing is very visible.

This looks so amazing it’s like seeing the cartoon in real life. I’m so glad Netflix is putting everything on these 3 books as a tv series

I watched Avatar with my dad when I was young so when I told him about this, he was excited. I won’t be surprised if he ends up watching it with me 😂

I watched the original cartoons with my son and daughter when they were kids. My son comes home from the National Guard on the 9th of March and I'll be waiting until he gets back to sit and watch it with them.

The story of the film-which-doesn’t-exist and casting is that they cast Jackson Argath one as “Soh-kah” because he looks like he could be Nicola Peltz’s brother… and they cast HER because her dad was a bigwig executive so getting her increased the chance of the film being made. And they almost cast Jesse McCartney as Zuko but someone realised that at least ONE of the cast should be definitely Asian-descended (Noah Ringer who played “Ohng” claimed to have some Asian or Native American blood maybe but I don’t know if that’s true).

There's a video where the cast talked about the trailer. Dallas Liu was saying how terrifying and imposing Daniel Kim was in the scene that he didn't need to pretend to be scared

18:07 "We're going to get to them-" YOU ARE?!?!?! As a HUGE long-time One Piece fan, I never thought you guys would even consider OP because of how long it is! I'm literally so happy!!! I mean, if it doesn't happen due to logistics or length issues, etc., I understand. I'm just happy it's in considerations! Also, I was very very hyped along with you guys during this reaction. Looking forward to watching ATLA with yall!

Remeber that episode with the play and Sokka sugesting jokes for the Sokka actor? I watched an interwiew with the cast and Sokka's actor said something about really trying to get as much humor and funny lines into the show as possible, even beyond what was in the script and I immediately went 'oh good, Sokka's being played by Sokka'.

Daniel dae kim (the fire lord) is also in the animated show as general fong and Hiroshi Sato in legend of Korra. They really did nail him being fire lord.

The animal the Answer was trying to remember was the spirit of the forest that was upset that the forest got burned down. He became like a panda or something after Aang calmed it down. I think its name was Hei Bai.

I cried while watching the trailer for the first time, and even got a little teary-eyed seeing you guys watch it. Answer got pumped with the music and it got me even more pumped. I cannot wait.

Between this and Arcane S2 in november I'm just pumped for quality fantasy fiction this year. It's unlikely it will be bigger than Stranger Things was at its peak, that was a legitimate cultural phenomenon and so many things have to line up for that kind of success to happen- most of which are entirely outside the control of the show itself. That kinda of viral sensation is basically hitting the lottery. That said, if this is really well executed and meets or exceeds expectations then I can easily see it becoming a monster of a hit.
