Graduated from high school in '89 and went straight into the Marine Corps but I grew up listening to these guys and bands such as Damn Yankees, Warrant, Queesnryche, Def Leppard !! I could go on and on. I'm still a rock guy through and through!! I'll probably still be listening when I'm 70 years old, point is music like this will always be timeless and these guys earned their reputation with pure, musical talent, not doing covers of other artists songs, enough said !!

I think this is the male equivalent of those songs by Heart from the '80s, like "What About Love" and "Alone." Very dramatic and very emotional with a huge chorus. It's amazing how even "love songs" and "ballads" from the '80s had such powerful sounds and killer guitar solos. You don't hear ballads that rock out like this anymore.

I was 14 yrs old and a freshman in high school when this was released. As I recall, this song was released in the latter half of 1989. At least it hit the radio in my area at that time. It it comes up on my 80’s playlist, I think to myself, one of the last ballads released before the 80’s ended.
