Definitely excited to see what this thing will do with a set of built heads! I said that to myself on the last video when you can see the top of the graph where the motor wasn’t happy that you should keep the oem short block and throw a set of heads on it just to see what it can do. It’s all in the tune. If you can keep knock in control and heat you can get a shit load of power. But how long does it last, and the Hal tech is also the key to being able to make love changes and have awesome tuning capabilities.

Wow !!! In the UK most tuners won't even push a built close deck EJ25 past 500 (flywheel power) because they are scared of cracking a liner 😂 granted we don't have E85 readily available so it's usually a 99 pump gas + a 20-30% of methanol but even then they are so cautios tuning them !!

Idk if you’re joking. But if you pump e85 gas into your car. Your car therefore is running e85 but you need a flex fuel sensor for that

I’ve applied this same logic to another 4 cylinder (4B11T evo x) made 800+ whp @ 42psi on a 6870 and it’s been living its best life. Also applied it to a k24a with a 6870 @ 30psi and made 800+.

@@BulliKidtorque and fast spool kills engines. A lot of these 500whp STIs and I even seen a 630whp Evo X have very high HP but the torque is really low. So mostly 600whp but 350-400whp. Gradually let the boost generate.

To add onto what Craig said, a bigger exhaust housing for the turbo can help it spool later and prevent that high torque at low RPM. I'm sure that's not everything that's preventing this guy from blowing up these motors, but it can help. Maybe he's paying more attention to per-cylinder tuning or something that helps him get more control over the loads the pistons are dealing with and preventing knock.

id love to see your dyno graph settings... because this just seems impossible LOL i could see maybe 700-800whp but 1000+whp? you should be trapping higher mph if its really making 1011awhp and 703wtq. edit: found out he didnt use a ej257 he used a special engine from the st209 the type ra version which is different then the one that comes in the new sti's. Its more built so kinda misleading. So now we got kids thinking there ej257 can hold 1000awhp stock lmfao.
