Badger Xtreme Patriot Arrow Airbrush Review

Just purchased the Arrow airbrush from Badger. Here are my thoughts on it.

The reason why the add looks different from what you are holding is because they are 2 different airbrushes. The ad is for the Xtreme Patriot, but what you are holding in your hand is the Xtreme Arrow. They are similar, but the Arrow has a smaller cup.

Very nice demo with this Badger. I am fully convinced of its qualities, particularely the trigger and the nozzle cap, very interesting. I also share your opinion about the air valve, I never use it with my usual airbrushes. The only downside on my view is the ball end of the needle, wich requires you to remove it from the back. A little bit boring. Best regards. Yves

Yves, glad you liked the video. I totally understand the part of ball on the needle. I’ve been using a Sotar 2020 for about 5 years, so I have gotten used to it.

Or do you have tips for how to tweak it to tighten the spread, in place of getting a smaller needle?

Hi mate, can I ask what size needle you're using at 7min 20? Those lines are tight! I have 0.3mm and don't seem to get anywhere near that!

Hey David, so I’m a .3mm needle at the 7:20 mark. To get fine lines there are 3 things at play. 1st make sure your paint is thinner properly. I normally do 60/40 or 70/30 thinner to paint ratio using Vallejo paints. 2nd your air pressure needs to be adjusted. For heavily thinner paint, lower pressure is best. I can with the badger 15-20 psi is the range I stick to. Lastly, get close to the target. The close you are the finer line you can achieve. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
