Awesome job Matt. Being able to resaw large timbers will be such a bonus. I used those belts on the Coronet. They're great Looks like you need to take another link or 2 out of each though. They'll stretch a bit after your first few uses too. Great series mate. Really enjoyed it. Bit jealous!

Hi Matt, a grate machine you have there, if at any time you want rid of it, send me an email and I will arrange to pick it up. Just think if you gave that one to me you would be able to look for another band saw to do up (well I can dream), but I am sure that would look better in my shed. Grate video and restore, the older machines are much better than the new ones.

I agree with Robert, so many great tools are just being junked. They can be retro fitted with time, effort and thought. My question is was the price comparable to what you thought you would have to spend on it, not including the elbow grease? Thanks for sharing :)

Nice restoration. Interesting that the open side of the bandsaw is on the left. Makes me wonder when the convention changed for the open side to be on the right. I got a smile from the single ball bearing rear guide. Clever way to use a single ball bearing. The dust is mostly on the exit of the blade from the work. The gullets of the teeth collect the sawdust then it falls out as the blade exits the work. In my bandsaw I am getting good dust removal with just the dust port underneath my trunnion. A new blade and a 3HP motor should easily cut through wood. Dave.
