Something from nothing and a nice save from an otherwise certain death! Great restoration Matt and very good demonstration of a number of skills to turn this one around, thank you for sharing… 👍🏻 👏🏻

Thanks Matt, that was an interesting variation on your "normal" content and the result looked very nice in the end ! If you think of the time effort and material cost of making this from scratch, the rational for upcycling is compelling and you can end up with a stylish result as you've shown. It is also great to see this being done to less good and damaged furniture as I find it hard to watch people doing awful paint jobs over classic mid-century solid teak furniture !

I love what you have done with this, I might have run a line of stitching around the leather front and made a leather pull. However, thinking, more I probably wouldn't have had the brilliant idea of using the leather in the first place. 😂 Great job, Matt. You are always an inspiration to me.

Well done Matt you took something that was ready for the skip and transformed it back into a beautiful piece of furniture. Thanks for the video.

i have rebuilt and restored seveal pieces of antique furniture. i strongly recommend using titebond hide glue for such jobs, partly because i can reverse any mistakes but mainly because it has a lovely long open time which is essential for complicated glue-ups. consider how many joints there are on a windsor chair, that all need to be done at the same time...

Just a suggestion, using a bees wax to seal the raw edges of that Veg tan leather will prevent it from wear/fraying, I make sword baldrics and rifle slings and that's the method i generally use. You could just melt the wax and paint it along the edge carefully with a small brush, Very nice refurbish of that little table :)

I wondered what you were going to do with the front of the drawer. That was a very nice touch buddy, i like this sort of thing. Finding a basic carcass and crafting some quality onto it. Top notch Matt.
