What a magnificent landscape, made even more so by the low sweep of morning sunlight. I was in the Badlands as a kid but have no memory of it save for a few pictures that my father made. Your video at times gave me pause, I feel nervous at the edge of cliffs. I always worry something will give way. It's a fact of aging for me. When I was a young photographer I would climb smokestacks and walk out on crane booms to get pictures. Now a step ladder isn't much fun... I'm reminded of how fortunate we are in this country to have such vast sweeps of open country. So much that you seldom see another person. Great video. I'm inspired to ride somewhere!

Thank you for the kind and thoughtful comments. A certain wanderlust and desire to get out to more remote places by myself was one of the primary reasons that I started riding dual sport / off-road motorcycles again. I think the cliff edges are perhaps a bit exaggerated in the video because I didn’t get too close, and for the most part they were a little less extreme than they might appear. At one point in this video where the sunrise video, I don’t recall which I sort of hesitated as I got close to the edge because I was concerned that it might not be stable, but as I got a little closer I could see that it was not a sheer drop but a slope outward and down so there was no risk of the earth underneath me giving way. The older I get, the less comfortable I am with heights, so I think I understand your sentiment!. Plus, I have no interest in winning a Darwin Award! 😂

@@flatgrindrides Yes it is. I have 2 Vespas that's how I stumbled across your channel. I also have the new Gen 2019 Goldwing tour I put 32,000 miles on the first 18 months I had it.

@@pureblood2020 The newer Goldwings like that are pretty amazing bikes. Is yours a DCT?
@pureblood20202 жыл бұрын
@@flatgrindrides No. I like to shift & had to search to find the 6 speed. Was not a fan of the DCT. The only "automatic" transmission motorcycles I own or would own is the vespas.
