She is wearing them for a reason and so do many fans. To protect their hearing so that they can enjoy music as they get older. Many musicians also wear some form of hearing protection for the same reason. Look at the major hearing problems that Pete Townsend has. He has stated that if he knew now what would happen to his hearing, he would have taken better care of himself.
