I’m flying the CE, the first version - they all get these crazy 530s though, I think. Shouldn’t be anywhere near as good as they are, but because they’re slow and burn for a while they turn insanely well. Range is absolute arse though, worse than the AIM-9s I’m carrying. Are you in my discord? @lukalekov1530 I remember that, was a pretty early F1 video, nice. The M will be with us eventually, no idea when but Aerges seem to be pretty reliable. I’d sooner have them improve the radar modelling though, even if it will make the jet worse overall. I’ll keep an eye out for you in the discord 👍🏼

Great to see more SR 60s action! I guess this was recorded a couple weeks ago due to Fox 1s. There was a poll to decide if it should stay as 70s with fox 1s or 60s with rear aspect fox 2s. What do you prefer?

@@mattgolsen5895 You’re correct, this was actually earlier in the same session the last F1 SR60s video was recorded in. I think keeping it free of radar missiles is the right move, personally. The 530s especially are a bit of a meme, they don’t deserve to be in the sim full stop until the Mirage’s radar limitations are properly implemented. I haven’t really played much in the last few weeks so the changes have passed me by, happy to hear it won the vote though - I wondered whether ECW dropped off in part because people disliked the 60s rotation but I guess this confirms it must’ve been for other reasons.

the magics are much easier to use than the aim-9s in the F-1, suggest you check em out, MAGIC 1 is rear aspect only so its usually available even in the 60s missions.

The Magics automatically uncage when they first get tone, so if there are multiple contacts in your HUD it’s hard to know what they’re locking. With the AIM-9s the boresight is quite small, and you can uncage manually so it’s very easy to specify what’s being tracked. That’s the only reason I prefer them over the Magics.

@@Bullet4MyEnemy thats funny i look at it coming the other way, i dislike that small and ambiguous aim-9 spot, also for the short ranges that these fights happen at i do love the burn profile on the magic, goes like stink. To each their own i guess =)
