Excellent videos. Watched them all so far. One of the best instructional series I’ve seen on KZbin. Would be great if you could do a full court singles footwork video too as that’s something I really struggle with. Also covering the splitstep in detail. My biggest issue is when to actually do the splitstep and in which direction. Need to learn Proper footwork! Thanks 🙏

Another excellent detailed video... Thanks a lot. I am an ameture player who plays doubles for fun and fitness. I see that advanced players uses a lot of fast drives and use of wrist for placement.. however i am unable to find any good video on that. It will be great if you can make one on this.

Naveen Kumar I’ll try to make one in this. For now, try to treat your wrist like a “hinge” and barely hold your racket. Like it should feel as if your hand and racket are separate from the rest of your arm. It’ll feel weird at first but keep trying. My friend Darry Yung from ClearOne Badminton taught this to me. He’s an x Olympian with lots of knowledge. Check him out online!

Many thanks for another great video! What adjustments are required if taking the shuttle earlier/higher and lifting from closer to the tape? This feels like a much less natural shot than taking it at the height you demonstrate and I have a tendency to hook it towards the middle or hit too high and short >> are there any corrective measures you'd suggest?

@@PritPachu I'm glad it's not just me that finds it tough! Can you offer any advice on aiming the cross-court forehand lift accurately (and where the follow-through should finish)?

Is there a difference in body position or body alignment depending on whether I am lifting cross court or straight?
@PritPachu
@PritPachu 4 жыл бұрын
Salvi - not really but if you’re really struggling and stretching for it, the shuttle is harder to move cross court because the racket needs to be at least a little to the outside of the shuttle in order to angle the racket to the cross court corner. But if you’re in good position then no. Just make sure you guide the shuttle in to the corner and not just punch it. Punch and guide combination is what you need for good quality and accurate placement. :)
