Amazing insights from this video!! Thank you Kennie! would you consider a video on the Pros and Cons of being a badminton athlete? I really wish I could be one but unfortunately I didn't start taking badminton seriously until i was past the median age of pro players so I'm so curious what it's like as a pro badminton player

I'm a beginner and I feels that my racket is going to collide with my partner which restricts me to play very limited shots
@CoachKennieAsuncion4 жыл бұрын
Well even in a partnership like my brother and I had, there will be times that when you’re both running around for awhile that there are certain shots that can be confusing so i make it a point to just always shout mine or yours ... or when i say my brothers name, he knows it his shot to take. When i partner with other people especially if its fun games i also just shout the word partner signifying he/she has to take the shot... 😁🏸

Thank you Coach Kennie! Greetings from Ukraine! Can you please give an advice on such mixed doubles situation. Imagine my female partner and I are defending and I'm lifting straight. My female partner is staying slightly closer to the net on her side. But our opponent's male player, instead of hitting smash, decides to hit fast cross-court clear, exposing my partner's position that is a bit close to the net. Should I, as a male player, try to take this shot or should my female partner do this?
@CoachKennieAsuncion4 жыл бұрын
Hi to a new friend from Ukraine! Regarding your question... That would depend on that cross court shot as to how far to the side it goes if you can reach it (maybe its close to the middle area or you’re sure you can go for it) it would be best for you to take it and for your female partner to run forward and guard the front. However, if she moves back to take that shot, just make the adjustment on covering almost the whole court then move depending on the type of shot she returns to your opponent... 😁🏸

coach which it is the best way to return a higth service from female and if am not the best to smahs ? im better with drops or defend
@CoachKennieAsuncion3 жыл бұрын
It will depend where your opponent is standing and which areas she finds difficult returning. You have to dry different areas to see where you can get more points & keep doing it. Work on weaker areas bec you cannot solely rely on your good drops and defense alone. 😁🏸
