I don't think it could be a gpx2 killer because as we could see in the video it didn't have anything that surpasses the Gpx2 in big numbers. But the thing about the Viper V3 is the shape. @@Expresso_Gaming first off I dont review anymore. I havent for over 9 months now. 2nd Ive never said 4k or 8k is better on cheaper brands. Actually Ive never bought into the marketing hype of 4k since the start. Anyone who follows me on socials knows that... I personally was hyped about end game gears OP1 wired series because the value gamers were getting with multiple low price points. and I ultimately purchased the regular 1k version with my own money. While empirical data done by sites like Rtings is important for seeing where the average is for the industry and how close brands come to their claims, its far from something that translates to a night and day benefit to gamers as some like to sensationalize. Also that is what Badseed was trying to convey in this video. My ultimate goal when speaking on polling rate is to make gamers feel comfortable with using their current gear if it still operates fine, and to not be sucked into the FOMO of this from any brand. That all said, from a hobbyist perspective I love the advancements in sensor tech and switches, its just cool to see where brands can go with it. *I edited this to add: There is no "better" or "best" in gaming mice, these days it really just comes down to subjective points and what each gamer is looking for. Luckily we are flush with options from many different brands.

I really wish all the brands copied the Logitech G502 X's infinity scrollwheel which allows you at a click of a small button to switch the scrollwheel from stepped which they all do, to infinite scroll which is basically free spinning the scrollwheel. I only use the stepped scroll while gaming whereas I frequently use the infinite scroll while surfing the web and its ergonomically far nicer using the smooth scroll while using office programs such as MS Word and PDF's or when reading ebooks. Curently I'm switching to my 40g Ninjutso Sora V2 only for gaming and back to my Logitech for everything else. The 8K polling not only wrecks battery life but it also substantially impacts your system CPU performance and can easily overwhelm weaker CPUs to the point that you can actually be throwing away a lot of FPS from you game just to get an extra 0.1ms less of latency. It's completely insane and I would love for this trend to stop already. 1k is great, 2k at most. Above 2k you are just wasting your system resources. If this doesn't stop we will see 30K polling rates soon that will literally HALVE your in-game fps for an extra 0.0001ms less of mouse latency. I have a DAV3 Pro and I still use the stock 1k dongle. Zero regrets. I tried a razer 4K dongle from a friend once and couldn't for the life of me tell absolutely any difference, with both laptops side by side with both mice connected. Right now I am using a Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed (love the hand fit). I get about 75 days on a cheap AA battery with heavy daily use. I buy my batteries in 12 packs and have a 3D printered batter dispenser on my desk. When I get a battery warning I ususally still have more than enough battery to finish my play session, pop in the new battery and off to gaming. This solution means no charging cable hanging around the desk, just one more thing removed. I tried the various Qi solutions and those work good but they are hit and miss as you need to get the mouse on the charger just right. Also they add another piece of clutter to the desktop.

Polling rate from 1k to 4k is completely detectable, but only in experienced users. This variable is also exacerbated using less latent encompassing computer systems where a cumulative latency response is lower overall vs a higher one. A good comparison would be a trained listener vs an average listener in the audiophile community. Most people cannot perceive subtle differences and micro nuances because they are not trained or experienced. 8k is still not worth the system demand or money.

I have a big gripe about the change in shape... I was a huge fan of viper series since viper ultimate but I just think the v3 pro is NOT a viper. The biggest selling point of vipers to me is the design was so performance focus, it provides great speed and control at the same time with claw grip, while comfort is not the biggest selling point (but also maintain a high level which many couldn't). The new design just looks like another mouse, to have better comfort with palm grip, but less percision, more intrusive to the palm center. I think the new design kills viper series, and I just don't understand why they don't just launch a new series if they are making a quite essential change to the series, while the taller, not flat profile is everything but a viper, and the more comfort focus design is more lean to the deathadder series instead of the viper series imo.

honestly quite disappointed about the v3 pro because I though the ultimate has a durability issue with the rubber grip(I think it 's good rubber though, but I just don't like rubber grip because they are gonna become sticky no matter how) and just not harcore enough, but while the v2 being more harcore, it comes with some new issues(the mouse button are too clicky and the side button is not as good as the ultimate, overall instrusive and distracting), I was hoping the v3 pro would be the mouse that MURDER it all because the shape is just so good, but maybe I have to find something else in the future.

@Divinity_vA Of course, I know VV2 is still in production. I'm just talking about its extinction in the long run and the disappointment as an individual who has loved those horrible flares and flatness

just ordered one of these, currently using the OP1 8k and while its really good with the best buttons ive ever used, its just too damn small, shame.

The op1 8k has better latency even with the same polling rate, weighs even less at 50,5g, and only cost 84,99 on Amazon🤩🤩

I'm pretty sure I spy a pair of Dan Clark E3's in one of the b roll shots. I miss the headphone reviews!

I don't know how I feel about razer, I used to be a fan of razer but lately I've been experiencing issues with mousewheel even some people who bought razer mice after my suggestion had some issues, I don't know maybe I'm just biased by this experiences, but I went on a shopping spree and got gpx2 last year and the ULX tiger, and they are both great in their on way. Plus I will pick up an EGG op18k probably cause I read good things about it and I want to go back to something wired. I agree with your statement about polling I'm still using all the mice at 1k polling cause when you go wireless battery life is the most important factor to me. That fuck you enter keycap at the end is a nice touch ahahah

5:50 This is why I always approach Razer and other peripheral manufacturers that chase numbers with caution. It always brings into question whether they have their R&D priorities in order, and it makes me feel uneasy as to whether they cut corners with reliability in order to achieve those numbers. At some point, the law of diminishing returns applies.

Bought a Viper V2 Pro one year ago to the date and the scroll wheel is malfunctioning. I also had to reach out to Razer a month ago to replace the wireless dongle, which would no longer connect to the mouse. Pretty bad QC on a $150 mouse so I will not be purchasing the V3 and will look for a different option.

I love Razer's marketing. "Programmable Mouse/DPI Button (preferred by Zekken)" I assume Mr. Zekken assigned a weapon reload key "R" to the DPI button, so he flips the mouse every time to reload? Nonsense.

Burst air 2 is comming at 47 grams... I ordered it for 90 bucks, instead of 179 euro of this one in Germany.

I hope it doesn't creak like Deathadder V3 Pro after a few months.

Razer just need to create something similar to the Omron optical switches (used by ninjutso/sprime) for their mice and it will be near perfect.

Reason why the viper was better than Logitech was because it was flatter! They blew it.

On my copy the left and right buttons feels kinda weird- it’s like heavy - mushy and crisp at the same time. Anyone with that problem ?
