I'm old enough to have here back when mini trucks first got started. They were very big in Orange County, CA. where I was born and raised. One of the more popular clubs in my area was Sunset. It seemed like every time you left the house you saw a mini truck with the Sunset logo. My mini truck was a 1979 Ford Courier lowered with slotted mags and the letters shaved off the tailgate. It had a header on it as well cause I worked for Clifford Research and we made exhaust headers for 4/6cyl. vech. 6=8
@thedirtheadshed2 жыл бұрын
Awesome history! I’m friends with quite a few Sunset members still. Small world . I’ve also installed quite a few Clifford parts over the years
@lilorbielilorbie24962 жыл бұрын
@@thedirtheadshed Yeah working at Clifford was one of the better jobs I've had. When I started there I was not the guy on the bottom of the totem pole. The hole that the totem pole sit's in I was the dirt at the bottom of the hole. But when I left there I only had to answer to two people my foreman and Jack Clifford. Not counting myself the foreman was the most laid back guy that I have ever met. He was your typical Southern California surfer dude think of Jeff Spicoli but he looked enough like the Late Tom Petty that they could have been brothers. There were some really good people who worked there. And there was a girl who worked in the front office there that if time travel was possible.... I had such a huge crush on her.
